Moulin Rouge wins for me. I love that movie so much and the cast as a whole. In the Bedroom is a close 2nd. Gosford and Lord of the Rings have nice casts. Beautiful Mind blah

In looking back at each year’s nominees, I think “Gosford” has the finest ensemble of the 2000s.

Ocean’s eleven should have been nominated and it should have won

I went with In The Bedroom. All the four main actors are astounding. LOTR also has a wonderful ensemble. With all due respect to its cast, but the more I think about A Beautiful Mind as a film, the more I take a disliking to it. Haven’t seen Moulin Rouge or Gosford Park, though.

Fellowship of the Ring is a film that an award like this should exist to honor.  So well casted.  No big names.  Character actors all around.  Great performances across the board, especially by McKellen, Mortensen, and Blanchett.  Nice features from Hugo Weaving, Christopher Lee, and Ian Holm.
