As charming and sexy Vera Farmiga is in “Up in the Air”, she had nothing to do in the film. Kendrick however was very good, except of her break-down scene which was pretty amateur.

Kendrick was awesome in this. If it wasn’t for Monique’s tour de force performance in Precious, I think Kendrick would have just as easliy swept award season. Farmiga was being Farmiga so I do like that she got nominated but Kendrick had the flashier performance

Anna Kendrick. Hands down. If Mo’Nique wasn’t so amazing and such a lock, like many others, I feel that Kendrick would’ve swept. I also thought Farmiga was very good as well. Not as amazing as Kendrick, but I’m thrilled she can call herself an Oscar nominee. That’s exciting.

I do like Farmiga in this, though I think that it’s mainly because of the presence she brings to the character.

This is Kendrick all the way, though.

I personally voted for Farmiga, merely because of her screen presence. To me, Kendrick came off as a bit of a shrill, naive nuisance. It was definitely a weak year for Supporting women that year
