Out of these choices, I’d pick Annie Get Your Gun, and I’d actually choose Kelly Clarkson for it. (I think she’s overcome From Justin to Kelly by now haha) followed by The King and I, My Fair Lady. I think they want to do Funny Girl on stage so I don’t think it’d come to NBC first.

I’d personally choose Oklahoma or The Wiz.

I’m guessing GYPSY isn’t an option bc of the potential Streisand film, which I don’t think is gonna happen.  Anyway I chose MY FAIR LADY…because it has the best music and lyrics from the bunch and I really did NOT like the 1964 film…it had it’s merits though.  To be fair I didn’t like THE SOUND OF MUSIC film either, except for Julie Andrews who was fabulous.

I wouldn’t mind seeing FIDDLER ON THE ROOF or OLIVER! or ANNIE GET YOUR GUN or GUYS AND DOLLS or FUNNY GIRL either!

I think Guys and Dolls. I don’t think it’s being discussed at NBC, but the stage script is incredibly strong (much better than the film version script) and the score is tuneful. Overall, it’s a very colorful show. Plus you don’t have to have absolutely incredible singers to pull it off; you could focus on the acting portion. If only Justin Timberlake could commit the time to doing Sky Masterson! And you could have Stephen Colbert as Nathan Detroit. Laura Benanti as Sarah and Christina Hendricks as Miss Adelaide.

Now that I have the idea in my head even though it may be too adult I’m gonna keep hoping for Little Shop of Horrors! It’s a really fun show that so many people have never gotten a chance to see. Skylar Astin could play Seymour, and maybe Samantha Barks(i just feel like she’d be able to pull of the voice) or Anna Camp! could be Audrey. I wasn’t even thinking of Pitch Perfect when I thought of the latter but they could totally market it as Pitch Perfect reunion! And for fun like Rick Moranis could play Mr. Mushnick! I’m getting a little to far planning this when it’s never gonna happen but whatever haha

Justin Timberlake can act for sure…but he really still looks like a teenager (to me anyway)…but I would still watch!  Colbert is a great choice, but can you imagine the ratings if Timberlake would be cast with Jimmy Fallon as Detroit!?!?!?

How awesome would a televised version of Annie Get Your Gun starring Reba McEntire be?  I vote for that, or Oklahoma with Reba as Aunt Eller (we already know that Reba can do Rogers and Hammerstein justice, South Pacific live from Carnigie Hall anyone?)
