The Academy award winner or one of the two perennial Academy Award nominees?

Top 10 taken from prediction centre as of 06/13/2019

My personal choice is either Emma Stone or Amy Adams

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", AMANDA SEYFRIED FOR "MANK", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

This is reaaaally tough. Ruth Wilson is excellent in a challenging role, Joey King does really good work in a role that’s written more for sensationalism than as an actual person and she overcomes that, Emma Stone gives her best performance in years in my opinion, Amy Adams is so good, especially in the middle episodes when Sharp Objects actually let her be a character and not just a function in the plot, and Patricia Arquette and Michelle Williams both arguably gave the performances of their careers and some of the best I’ve ever seen. After Dannemora I was positive there was no way anyone was going to top Arquette for years, but then Fosse/Verdon came along and I have to give the edge to Williams, who I’ve never fully bought the hype for before but who really surprised me in this. What she did on that show is fascinating to watch, and the perfect mix of performative and natural and charismatic and diminutive and harsh but sympathetic. I have to give the slight edge to Williams but I feel really bad Arquette won’t win for a just about equally jaw dropping performance where she found real humanity while not even attempting to soften the characters hard edges, and Adams, Stone, and Wilson would all have been deserving winners in other years too.
