Now that’s strange…all of the advertising for the AGT Live show at the Luxor says it starts 11/4, but at the Luxor website, it says that it actually starts one week earlier, on 10/28, with the first six nights of shows (the show will be “dark” on Mondays and Tuesdays) having one performance per night, and then having two starting on 11/5. All of the listed dates have tickets available, so it doesn’t appear to be a misprint.
I have a feeling that the first week of shows will include quite a few acts from this season, who will then be replaced once the two-a-days begin. It’s also possible that there could be “7:00 acts” and “9:30 acts,” but that would mean having to stage two significantly different shows each night.

1. Taekwondo World Demonstration Team (they would be a phenomenal Vegas act! Amazing energy and brilliant choreography)
2. Aidan Bryant (the teen aerialist is simply phenomenal!)
3. Brooke Simpson (her vocal was amazing! Great song choice and just wow!)
4. Josh Blue (he made me laugh so hard especially the Botox jokes)
5. Northwell Nurses Choir (beautiful harmonies and inspirational)
6. Dustin Tavella (magic and confessionals about his dysfunctional family combined with an inspiring message. He is always a bit more nervous than any of the other contestants though)
7. Gina Brillon (she was funny tonight but she wasn’t as funny as Josh Blue was)
8. Lea Kyle (it is amazing what she does but how is this more than a 10 minute act? It gets repetitious)
9. Jamie Herrold (I may have his name wrong – he sings well but I am not wowed by him)
10. Victory Brinker (I find her totally annoying. I don’t care for opera arias and why would America vote for this? The only act I truly disliked tonight)
I have ZERO idea of who will actually win tomorrow night.

First of all, I will assume that only finalists will be chosen.
Dustin Tavella, of course, since he won.
Aidan Bryant is also pretty much a given.
There is only one singer announced so far (Kodi Lee), so Brooke Simpson should be in as well.
There’s always one surprise, and here it is: since Preacher Lawson is “hosting” the show, they don’t need three comedians…and since they already have a male comic, Gina Brillon gets chosen ahead of Josh Blue.
That’s 11 acts. I am assuming they want to keep the show under two hours, so maybe there’s room for one more act, and since there are already two comedians and two singers, I’m going to guess Lea Kyle.EDIT: I missed a name in the fine print – the “poet laureate of Las Vegas,” Brandon Leake, is also in the show, so that’s 12 without Lea Kyle.
ReplyCopy URLOctober 19, 2021 at 1:08 pm #1204526942There will be a slight delay in the production of America’s Got Talent: Extreme after Jonathan Goodwin was injured rehearsing his act.
What I want to know is, will they even consider doing this live? (Oh, who am I kidding? Either the four judges are track stars, considering how fast they appear to get from outside back to the stage, or all of the outdoor acts are taped in advance – even on the “live” shows.)
ReplyCopy URLNovember 1, 2021 at 2:28 pm #1204551847Reportedly, Aidan Bryant was passed over for the Vegas show in favor of singer Jimmie Herrod and quick-change artist Lea Kyle, although Kyle will not be joining the show until later – possibly when Brandon Leake leaves the show after 12/9. Kyle finished fourth, while Herrod was in the final but didn’t make the top five.

Shown in the closing credits: “Travis Pastrana (one of the three judges) has a financial interest in Nitro Circus.”
No, that’s not suspicious at all.

It isn’t live, so you shouldn’t have to worry. If anybody seriously got injured, (a) I assume it would have made the news by now, and (b) NBC would cut the act out of the show entirely.

Michael Winslow tops the rigged audition cake for me still

More details: it turns out that the singer, Madison Taylor Baez, played “young Selena” in Netflix’s Selena TV series.

And you think that I would have remembered that all AGT contestants have to sign a considerable number of forms before being allowed to audition at all – and that what’s shown on TV isn’t the first round of auditions.
Some reports are saying that the whole “surprise” thing was a prank on the judges, although they do not say who was in on it the whole time.June 16, 2022 at 6:24 pm #12049872852 golden buzzer singers in a row. ugh
And guess what: the second one is another “name”; she finished second in last year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
I have a feeling Simon tries to build up interest in singers so he can sign them to his record label (he once told Larry King that this was pretty much the main reason he was involved with American Idol).
ReplyCopy URLAugust 11, 2022 at 6:11 pm #1205042853Why do I have the feeling the new format, with no “instant save” or judges’ save (except maybe for the “wild card” finalist), was at the request of NBC after one too many weeks of the show bumping up against the next show’s time slot because one of the judges spent a considerable amount of time making their decision?
