There are spoilers for other shows in the prediction whatever thing here on GoldDerby. Just like the rest of us, the prediction game has to keep going as if spoilers don’t exist.
The same thing applies for any show with spoilers: how do you know that the winners didn’t just read Reddit?March 13, 2021 at 7:30 am #1204116502
Raw deal for Denali this week. It didn’t feel like her time yet, but I thought that same way about Jan last season, so maybe an “All-Stars” run is in her future too. It’s on Olivia Lux in the makeover challenge this week, and even in the lip-sync, I thought that Denali edged Olivia out in a song that didn’t benefit Denali. I wanted far more theatrics in “Untucked” with the majority of the queens wanting Olivia to go home. But Olivia’s not that confrontational gurl, so whatever. Is this the first time ever that a Christian song was used in the lip-sync? Kudos for that! Symone and Utica Queen were the clear winners, with the bottom team that could have easily been Tina Burner and Rosé instead of Denali and Olivia. Tina did Rosé soooo dirty with that horrible makeup and outfit. Tina’s time is coming to a close sooner rather than later, I hope. Such a tacky, unfunny queen whose “legendary” NYC status I question every time I see one of her red/yellow/orange looks go down the runway. Kandy Muse and Gottmik were fine, I guess. Kandy being an insufferable twat the moment she was asked the dreaded “which queen should go home?” question that Ru asks every damn season was disappointing. The losing team has to say someone! They can’t say themselves! That’s an immediate reason for Ru to send you home. Denali really tried it with the Miss Congeniality edit at the end there, but you have to make your case for the consolation prize somehow lmao. Inventive way to do the makeover challenge in the age of covid, so mostly good episode otherwise.March 14, 2021 at 7:33 am #1204119532

Potential All Stars 7 cast spoilers
The following queens have turned off their Cameo accounts) (Jimbo, Lemon, Monique Heart, Jujubee, Asttina, Cheryl Hole, Blu Hydrangea and Baga Chipz).
Looks like AS7 might be the rumoured (but separate) International All Stars afterall.
Kinda pointless to have Monique & Juju come back for a 3rd & 4th time though, what do the have to gain from it at this point.

Eventful episode! The soda commercials were mostly strong with clear winners and losers. Loved the “beast!” runway (iconic Alyssa Edwards realness), though it’s so clear that Symone’s winning this season that they aren’t even trying to hide it anymore. Like maybe throw this one to Rosé solo just to give things a bit of equity and tension moving forward lol? Tina Burner flatlined weeks ago, so good riddance. I think the problem with the pre-hype for NYC queens on the competition is what happens when they don’t meet the high expectations set for them, or what translates on the NYC drag scene doesn’t match what’s needed to flourish on “Drag Race.” I remember the Pitstop with Trixie and Bob where they said that the Tina they know is so fierce and it’s nothing like what she’s doing here. They also wondered where the red/yellow/orange aesthetics came from, b/c that’s something she’s never done before either. But the camp queens have to really be something special to make their mark. I never saw what the fuss was about Brita or Nina West, for examples. The one queen who could have taken the camp schtick to the finals unfortunately was Sherry Pie, so yeahhh. A final nice thing I’ll say about Tina is that she turned the lip sync tonight! I’m somewhat surprised that Ru let Utica stick around, TBH, since she’s clearly going home sooner rather than later. She’s someone I’d love to see more from, but she’s so in her head that it’s hard to rise above that for much longer. Next week’s previews looks just as bad for her, unless the shady VH-1 marketing team has other ideas in mind for a “frontrunner.” Tina captured the humor and stupidity of “My Humps” the better of the two, but enough’s enough, I guess lol. It was nice seeing Tina vulnerable in “Untucked” and talking about her sick mother. More of that side of her would have been nice to see this season.March 20, 2021 at 3:02 pm #1204147504

Honey, three black queens are NOT winning in a row. Poor Symone.March 26, 2021 at 6:53 am #1204159268
How did Tina lose that lipsync? Even the song, it was so perfect for her I immediately said “rigged, they want Utica out”. But hey, as much as I’ve loved Tina in recent episodes, I don’t want any more Tina runways. They don’t get better and it’s episode 10. I can understand why keeping Utica (with a better track record too) was a better choice.
Didn’t care for the double win, but announcing Symone first…really made me care for that double win because I was sure Rose (finally another perfect runway – her second, maybe?) was winning this.
Symone gets major props though for that outfit. No matter how Symone by Symone starring Symone as Symone that commercial was, her look was one of the best “weird complicated idea-to-runway” I’ve ever seen on this show. It could’ve gone so bad, just ask Tina or Kandi.
Florencedlee needs another exclusive brand ambassador (haha) next season asap. Tina was clearly the one with the bad ideas here. Which is obvious after the terrific job he did with Sherry (and other queens) last year.
Now it gets really tricky. Very interested to know how the obvious upcoming Utica/Kandi/Olivia eliminations work out. I’d like Olivia to be next and clear the way for Utica in the top4, which I didn’t expect at all when we started. But I much prefer her being there than Olivia or Kandi.
I had that 4th spot reserved for Denali but she did what she did during the competition. She wasn’t getting there.March 26, 2021 at 7:13 am #1204159290
All kinds of stirrings going on social media with Tamisha accusing the show of being outright rigged, or at least heavily influenced by production. News at eleven, but still. Expect major spillage after NDA expires. This will compromise a future “All-Stars” run for her.
Also talk of a major formatting reboot of the series, but nothing confirmed yet.March 26, 2021 at 7:37 am #1204159342
Episode Title: “Nice Girls Roast”

The cringe of this episode lmao. What is there to even say about Utica Queen’s performance in the roast episode? Yikes. I will say that of the remaining queens, she had some of the most exciting runways of the season (the sleeping bag look was iconicique). I’m intently interested in her overall drag aesthetics, even though the “nice queen” schtick wore thin over time, and then the irony of desperately not wanting to be cancelled by misappropriating but leaving on this sour note. I could still see a future “All-Stars” run for her, b/c why the hell not. She makes for good television, at least. Standing up to Ru like that was definitely a choice (insert Tatianna GIF). Some of her “observations” actually landed, but TPTB’s editing was clearly there to amp up the delusion of thinking she was doing great when she wasn’t. I chuckled over the “Symone and Pumbaa” line. Not listening to Michelle’s and Loni’s advice was another glaring red flag that couldn’t be avoided. Yay for Kandy Muse shining for once! She slayed the opening slot and finally elevated her drag for a change. Rosé closed the roast beautifully, but I’d agree that she was somewhat better in rehearsals. Gottmik’s first roast routine was surprisingly strong, but anything following Utica would have gotten high marks. Symone, yeah. As stunning as her runway was tonight, when she bombs at something, she really bombs. Her confidence is awesome when it’s on, but the affectations are beginning to bore me. She earned her bottom placement, but I hate lip-syncs where the outcome is determined before the first note starts. A Utica/Olivia Lux face-off would have been far more compelling. Olivia’s smiling persona was a poor fit for what she needed to be here. I know I’d rather seen Utica another week than Olivia, who will be gone next episode anyway, so why not let Symone be safe and Olivia leave instead? Anyways, what an episode. Not the Ariana song I would have chosen. Nina, Heidi, and Valentina were all fun. Final four of Symone, Rosé, Gottmik, and Kandy seems about right. Symone isn’t assured the crown anymore after tonight, so yay for that. Foregone conclusions are boring for “Drag Race.” I’m also curious how the finale is being done this season. Another Zoom mockery with Ru in a sad facekini again lol?
