I hope Christina Aguilera comes back next season. I know she’s pregnant. I don’t care for Shakira. I hope they get rid of her for good.April 8, 2014 at 8:13 am #553651
I don’t think they would put Pharell and Usher in a same season. They cover almost the same genre. I have nothing against Shakira cos she’s very passionate about people she likes. And yeah, I will love if they have 2 females on one team too. I’m not sure Madonna will make a great coach actually cos she seems a little like a diva and I’m not sure she would really want to take the effort to coach her artistes. I wish they could have Pink or Alicia Keys as a mentor. Could see them having the drive to do it.April 8, 2014 at 11:09 am #553652
What about Gladys Knight for next season? The British version has Tom Jones as a judge and he is pretty iconic so maybe she would do it.April 8, 2014 at 11:17 am #553653
I like Shakira. I think she is a better coach than Christina Aguilera, who often times comes off as an entitled bitch. Shakira is more down to earth; they should keep her and scrap Aguilera, which would pretty much cause her to slip into obscurity for good since nobody is interested in her music anymore. It seems like the other judges enjoy Shakira more as well. The chemistry is better. Adam and Blake are great. I have ever like Usher, so hopefully Pharell IS replacing him. Another female judge would be good. P!nk would be a good choice, but not sure she would do it. It’d be interesting to see them get an AI alumni like Kelly Clarkson or Jennifer Hudson.
Anyway, I actually know Tess Boyer, so watching this season has been especially exciting.April 8, 2014 at 11:27 am #553654

I read somewhere that Pink doesn’t want to be involved in reality competitions, at least as a coach or judge. And I read that Christina was much better in Season 5 than in Season 3. I’m not sure whether the US versions will ever have a coach that’s a legend like Tom Jones. Tom Jones kinda makes it work in the UK version. I’m not exactly sure whether Glady Knights will fit though in reality competition shows, especially at her age. Too much commitment for her, I think.April 14, 2014 at 2:02 pm #553657

My top twelve ranking after knockouts:
Impressive pool of talent this season, and no clear cut frontrunners yet (the top two are close). The first couple weeks of lives are the most exciting time for the show, IMO.April 21, 2014 at 1:45 pm #553660
