Blind auditions start things off this week.September 21, 2014 at 5:35 pm #554256
I gave up on the show last season. I couldn’t stand watching the exact same thing over and over again, I know every other reality show is the same, but with The Voice it bothers me so much. Same audition songs over and over again (I’m Going Down, Titanium, Feeling Good, that token One Republic song, that token Christina Perri song), same dynamic, same extremely long process and they added more things last seasons, fast eliminations which make me care so little about contestants and so many more things.
I’ll give the auditions a try because they’re always the best things about these shows, and I want to see Gwen and Pharrell a bit before I most likely give up again once they begin with the eliminations.September 22, 2014 at 5:17 am #554257
I hate that this show is up agains dwts. Both are two of my must sees. Gonna have to watch this from the on demand menu.September 22, 2014 at 6:26 am #554258
I think Gwen is going to bring some great energy to match Adam. Pharrell seems like he will kind of be quite like Cee Lo and UsherSeptember 22, 2014 at 12:43 pm #554259

Mondays at 8PM is a crowded time slot. I’m watching Gotham live and then catch up with The Big Bang Theory and The Voice onDemand.September 22, 2014 at 2:38 pm #554260
“Gotham” will repeat its pilot episode on Friday night. I’ll tape it then and watch it later so I can catch this live (the tentative plan).September 23, 2014 at 6:22 am #554261

That’s my plan too. Already caught up with Gotham (probably not going to watch that one again).September 23, 2014 at 5:23 pm #554262
Watching Part 2 (missed Part 1 last night; try to catch up with it later). The chemistry with the four coaches is already abundant. The talent pool here really is beyond “American Idol” in pretty much every way. These first two singers have been quite strong.September 23, 2014 at 9:07 pm #554263
Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams have been great additions to the chemistry of The Voice’s blind auditions. I’ve liked a couple artists a lot, so there’s a decent chance I might keep watching past the fun auditions.
Damien, James David Carter, Joe Kirk, and Maiya Sykes have stood out so far as possible winners.September 24, 2014 at 8:41 pm #554264
I’m loving Gwen and Pharell so far. Gwen is really different from Shakira and Christina. And Pharell is actually quite convincing with his arguments. He’s like the laid back kid in class and when asked to present, he gives just enough to compell you without needing to overimpress.
Totally diiferent from Cee-Lo and Usher. Cee-Lo is like the wacky uncle and Usher is like the cool kid. Pharell is just like that friend who you just like hanging out with. I love how he totally makes himself look the normal one comparing to the others in the beginning of Episode 2. Would love to see how he does when it comes to mentoring. Pharell is quite the combo though. Singer/Songwriter/Producer. Totally a good one to work with. And Gwen has that abundance of experience and seems to just be happy to be given the opportunity to work with these singers. She’s the more calm Shakira. hahaSeptember 25, 2014 at 6:36 am #554265
Joe Kirk….wow. My fav so far.September 26, 2014 at 2:08 pm #554266
I enjoyed this week. I am really liking Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams as coaches/judges.
There have been a few stand-outs thus far. Can’t remember any names.September 29, 2014 at 4:40 pm #554267
Part 3 of the Blind Auditions begins tonight.September 30, 2014 at 8:05 pm #554268
Luke Wade’s audition was one of the best blind auditions I’ve ever seen on the show to date. I almost thought that he was a ringer at one point. Hope he manages to make it far in the competition this season.
I’m also loving Pharrell as a new coach so far. He quietly commands attention whenever he speaks, and he has the chops to back up his claims in a way that the other three coaches can’t quite do (yet).
