Initial thoughts:

Way too many legacy queens. #DragNepotism.

Lively group. Surprisingly diverse (again). First Canadian queen. First Muslim queen. Etc.

#15 is indeed, the one and only, Miss Vanessa Vanjie Matteo! Oh boy. If she’s level 11 like this all season long, that will get tiring incredibly fast. But I’m living for her return and hope she gets past the first episode lol.

Adam Rippon is a good interviewer and a real trooper!

Aquaria is a legend.

I’m just glad I wasn’t flooded by that ugly neon yellow that pretty much every girl wore last year

after the ruveal I’m rooting for: silky(my winner period), yvie(her aesthetic is everything, strong all stars candidate), plastique(feel like she would go halfway but that mug tho)

The online presentation was crazy with the games being unnecessary (poor Aquaria having to battle her way through two hours of that nonsense; at least she looked like a star while doing it and maintaining her wits throughout). Adam Rippon was game for anything the queens threw at him, so good going there. These queens are all over the place. Diversity is a plus. Character-wise, this is one of the most ratchet groups they’ve ever had for a season. It should make for great television, which is the primary consideration, but still. Early frontrunners: Plastique Tiara, A’Keria Chanel Davenport, Yvie Oddly, Nina West, Shuga Cain, Miss Vanjie (but it would be quite the gag for her to be eliminated AGAIN on the first episode lol).

Well it happened on Survivor. One girl came back and was eliminated again on the first episode.

And that presentation which was again, same shit as season 10, did not show Vanjie as being improved or much better than on her original season. It was that same girl. So, who knows?

My initial post was about the promo and the looks, but now I see that they also went with the mini runway presentation too. They really didn’t try to make it different at all.

Way too soon after “All-Stars,” and Fridays should be the show’s permanent home instead of overcrowded Thursdays.
