Yeah, it seemed like the initial plan was to vote Julie out, because Jon convinced them that the people whose loved ones are still there should get rid of the people whose loved ones are gone.  I don’t get that strategy either, but it was far less clumsy than the things Drew, Keith and Jeremy did and said before and during tribal.  Jeremy’s rant at tribal and talk about alliances and suballiances was a bit much, but the show is so self-aware now that it kind of doesn’t matter.  Jeremy can claim he was just trying to get Keith out or that he was trying to manipulate Keith into playing an idol if he had it or that he was just plain lying about his willingness to be loyal to Keith.  At the end of the day, Jeremy just has to convince people they can trust him when he’s talking to them one on one, and I think the women are probably still on board right now.

Jon voting for Keith was the most random, but I guess it was just that Jeremy seemed to want him out, and Jeremy has kind of been the most like a leader to the tribe.  That’s the one that makes it clear people didn’t even double check with one another before heading to tribal.

Drew was a mess. Like I could see why he wanted to thin the herd a bit but throwing the challenge like that was not the way to go. He should have had the weakes thhrower do the throwing. Would have saved him.

I kinda understand Jon’s strategy in wanting to get rid of Julie whose loved one was gone. In the previous edition of Blood vs Water, when the two tribes merged, people who were left with their loved ones would be targeted by people who weren’t, and Jon, who still had Jaclyn at the moment, may have wanted to prevent that by voting off people with no loved ones left first.

Thanks for that, oopschoice.  I didn’t watch the first Blood vs. Water, so I didn’t know about that.  I can see Jon’s point now.  Also, woot to us for making the “hot posts” e-mail!  It’s the little things.

Who is everyone rooting for at the moment?

I think I want Julie to win. She handled the John Rocker situation really well. I don’t know if she can win, but I hope she at least makes it far.

I’ve loved Julie, too, since she beat John Rocker at the reward challenge. Now I want to see all four Hunahpu girls do really well. Hopefully they survive a tribal switch first.

I currently only seem to have people I’m rooting against.  I do like Julie, but I like a lot of the contestants just fine.  Michigan Jon kind of has a special place in my heart, but that’s mostly because he was so funny when he lost the flint.

I think I have reached the point in the season where everyone left on that island is hated equally by me except for like three.

Just when Kelley starts to stand out, she’s gone. I guess they made the right choice getting rid of a potential threat like her, but it sucks not to see her thrive in this game.

I liked Kelley, and she really grew on me over the last couple of episodes, so I was sad to see her go.  It was clear from the moment the tribe swap happened that Kelley did not want to have to play with Dale and kind of knew she was a goner as a result.

The tribe swap made things interesting, but I kind of would have liked to see Hunahpu suffer the consequences of their insane rice consumption, instead of half those people now being over at Coyopa where there’s still plenty of food.

The three people that I like are Reed, Natalie, and Alec. Saying that, I think only one has a chance of winning (Reed)

I hate Natalie. She needs the boot in a fun blindside. But it looks like she’s going to work with Julie (singles alliance). I approve of that and thus she can stay for now.

I liked Kelley these last two episodes. Oh well. Did she not approach Keith at all? She could’ve used his vote.

I’m kind of annoyed with Dale, because he has been so anti-Baylor since the first vote (dude, get over it) and I feel like he got Kelley voted out.  Missy and her excessive rice cooking also bugged me.  And Keith seems clueless.  I think everyone else is fine right now.

May I ask why? I have not seen The Amazing Race and I imagine some people hate Natalie because of how she came of on that show.
So far, Natalie wasn’t really bad. On top of that a lot of what she’s saying about her position and gameplay in general makes sense.

Sure. She instigated the John Rocker nonsense a couple episodes ago. Sore winner talking shit. Not a fan.
