Ben wants to make top 3. He’s tried hard so far and will get in via immunity or idols. Mike will go home next. I think Devon wins immunity at the last challenge to automatically get in top 3. That leaves Chrissy and Ryan. They’re two alliance members but one of them won’t get in because of odds and if everyone else is safe, then one of them is going. I think Chrissy comes in 4th because she has upset more people and already has a lot of votes cast against her. Plus, it would be a big move to end the game.

Ryan will come in 3rd because he hasn’t really done anything of late. Its a tossup between Ben or Devon but Devon will win because he’s  played a good social game.

    To recap: 5th-mike….4th-chrissy….3rd-ryan….2nd-ben….1st-devon.

Interesting. Idols aren’t usually allowed past top five, right? So if Mike does go next, and then Devin does win immunity to automatically make top three, Ben is vulnerable, and I don’t think anyone will want to keep him around. His masterful deception when he was a rat for the majority alliance probably feels like too much to compete against, and since the next two eliminations will be happening on days 37 and 38, right after the last one on day 36, there’s not really as much time for tempers to cool or strategies to be radically shifted. I also think the other four castaways, especially Mike, can afford to spend the next 21 hours between the last tribal council and the next one making sure Ben doesn’t find another idol. What really screws things is if Ben finds and idol AND wins immunity, giving him some bargaining power with someone else, or the ability to just mess things up at tribal, and possibly breaking up the Ryan/Devin/Chrissy alliance.

I think the Idols are done , they usually are done at five

I think the only way ben makes the finale is if he wins the next two immunity challenges … He then has to go for Chrissy/Devon he would have a more difficult time winning next to them… I think mike/ryan will get dragged to final three and i could see a senario where any of the five pull out a win… I think the jury is bitter and the players have all done some good and bad things , i dont think there is a clear winner ala Jeremy or Sophie ….

I put an absurd amount of effort into this but I thought of how each person could win this:
Crissy: She has no shot at the win I think,
Ben: If its him, Crisy, and Ryan it’s his easily.
Devin: If its Crissy, Devin, and Ryan he has this I think
Mike: If its Crissy, Ben and him he could win this but I doubt this final three is occurring
Ryan: If its Devin, Ben, and him in the final three he could win this.

I think in odds of winning

Ben – He played a goodish game and will get votes for making it to the end
Devon – he played an ok game and seems to be liked
Chrissy – she played the best game on the island , but she was harsh and i think that she would have to do alot of owning of her game play ala Boston rob and really take ownership of her game play and her cunningness
Mike – if he wins its a bitter jury, they wont be voting for him but against someone else
Ryan – i think he played ok , but i think he is unlikable and shrewish and i think he would have to be really likable and work very hard to win in the end.

Ben was really good at hide and seek with those idols. Convinced that and the PTSD/I’m doing this for my kids clinched the win. Was rooting for Devin then he lost the fire off and then I was rooting for Chrissy since she and Ryan really played a great game

For a while now there have only been two options for me, either Chrissy or Ben. The other three didn’t really play as good, were moved further by Chrissy and didn’t do that many (or any) relevant things to win the title.

I’m happy Ben won, I didn’t think it would happen as Chrissy is a pretty worthy and easy winner considering her game. I love rooting for people like Ben who are good people, good players and everybody gangs up on them and they defeat the odds. But Chrissy’s game was so, so good, that I also feel sorry for her.

A couple of seasons ago a guy basically won for saying it was for his family. Whatever the circumtances may be, that story is eye rolling for me because it has nothing to do with the game and people fell for it once again with Ben. So there’s another reason why I would’ve preferred Chrissy to win.

But Ben’s surprising win (I just didn’t believe it could happen) is a great one too. I’m glad Devon and Mike were out and only one person voted for Ryan and of course it turned out to be Devon, just to further prove my point that he didn’t deserve to win. I hate people who just play a game that allows a strong force to stay and stay and win and win, and these three idiots were just pawns in Chrissy’s game.

I’m 50/50 on this new twist. And that final challenge was insane.

I was really, really pulling for Chrissy, who I think deserved it more than anyone. Ben’s a likeable guy, and I was pulling for him earlier on, but I think that whole thing of being the double agent just bugged me. I also really bothered me that the rest of the group kept letting him find another idol, which as Desi point out is ridiculous. But the worst thing for me was that final twist. I don’t know when it was actually conceived, probably before the season started, but watching the episode, it felt inserted just as a way to prolong Ben’s story. There should be some point in the game where, if you don’t win immunity and every other person wants you gone, then you are gone. You shouldn’t be able to have a game in the back half that reeks so strongly of no one wanting to sit next to you in the end and still get there without winning a single immunity. That just shouldn’t be able to happen, but if did for Ben. So I don’t know if I really dislike that change overall, but in this scenario I really don’t like how it played out. It also sabotages the person who won immunity, and for sure the person who was then chosen to go with them. The jury sees a person save themselves in the game by building fire, a stronger and more memorable thing than just knowing that someone won immunity in a challenge you didn’t see (and in this case Chrissy was somewhat undermined in that by the discussion that Ben was so very close to winning and made a million dollar mistake). And if people didn’t already think Ryan was along for the ride, they certainly would have after he got into final three by being appointed by Chrissy. So yeah, I think I don’t like the change.

Overall, though, it was a good season and an exciting finale. There are several players I wouldn’t mind seeing again, though that also is tough in a case like Chrissy. People acknowledged that her social game was strong; she won FOUR immunity challenges; and she had to think, talk, or plot her way out of being down in numbers several times. The main thing she should have done better was use the overused rhetoric of “I’m doing this for my family and to give my children a better life” and that sort of thing. People eat it up. But my point is that it would feel weird seeing her play again because she played so well this time around that she would likely not do as well in a future season. But it would be fun to see Ryan, Devon (credit to him for sticking to his gut and writing Mike’s name down at the final five), and Desi, among others, in a later season.

The reunion show was terrible, though. The first 25 minutes was dealing with final tribal council and the results, and then there were 20 minutes of the Ben show, followed by the theme for next season and no discussion of the game from anyone who didn’t make top five, which is just disappointing for me.

I think both Ben And Chrissy Deserved it equally and i respected both of their games … i wish they had worked together and really just been an amazing power house team …. ryan played the next best and deserved his third place spot… Devon and mike were both nice and fun and went home when they should…

The new twist is cool and i liked it … i think Ghost island looks great
