ah a good moron vote off. I mean he couldn’t tell to play it just in case?!

It wasn’t just he should’ve played it just in case. It was that it was only good for two tribal councils. Why not just play the idol that night because the next time they could win immunity and the idol wouldn’t be good anymore. He was so stupid. I just think he didn’t want to be there anymore.

Im going with dumb. I mean the girl who the tribe wanted out just went and whispered to her entire alliance. That itslef is major red flag..

Or he was just oblivious or as he did state in the post vote-out confession that he had it in his bottle.

I was really annoyed that the show was edited so we didn’t see ANYTHING about Vince and Elizabeth comparing notes about Island of the Idols. Why does the show think seeing the castaways be mildly wowed by seeing Sandra and Boston Rob is more interesting than navigating the lies people are telling to cover up what’s happening there? Now they have the audacity to have next week’s episode apparently deal with this on the other tribe, as if it hasn’t already happened here. Especially with Vince getting voted off, it sucks they didn’t show it. Maybe we’ll get a “stuff you didn’t get to see” episode later in the season where they show more.

Anyway, I wasn’t sad to see him go. I would have felt bad for Karishma had she been voted out, even though her (justified) concerns about potentially being voted out were pretty irritating. The scene was no one came over to help her with her cut hand was COLD. Dean telling the whole tribe to split the vote was hilarious. Good way to dispel any concern that he’s going to be a strategic mastermind.

Last season was the worst season ever (and worst winner) and this season they’re getting really lazy with the show. It might be time to change up the producers or just go back to their original format. All of the twists they try to come up with now make the show seem so convoluted – so much so that the editing, which used to be the best part of the show, seems so sloppy.

Yes, I think they’ve been focusing too much on twists and gimmicks and losing a lot of the basic stuff that makes the show good — people interacting and trying to get each other to do/not do things.

That said, I thought this week’s episode was easily the best of the season so far. The entire plot with Noura going to Island of the Idols was so so funny. The lie she came up with was zero percent believable, but she tried. But it kinda sucked that the show gave that whole tribe the advantage of knowing in advance what the challenge was, which I’m sure was helpful. The fake-out at the end of the immunity challenge also got me.

The Lairo tribe is kind of a mess. I thought the girls were in a really good position after last week, because they voted out another guy and it was Aaron’s idea to do it. Taking Aaron’s suggestion this week to vote out Dean would have left them with total control of that tribe, but then none of them seem that interested in the girls alliance or really any alliance. I like that they identified that Dean is basically useless in challenges (usually it takes them much longer to realize that any guy of Dean’s approximate age and physique in not helping them in challenges), but they still voted out Chelsea. Oh well.

Now next week there’s a tribe swap, which kind of annoys me. These people should have to spend more time living in the filth they’ve created rather than getting a potential reset with a different group.

EmmyLoser, I like how I agree with you most of the time on these boards and the Daytime Emmys boards. You’re probably my favorite person on here (Other than Jeffrey Kare).

Random but is it bad that I feel like Jack and Dean are getting a really good edit. Same for Missy and Tommy.

Thanks, Djoko! I like that we see eye to eye on most things on these boards.

I see a path to an easy victory for someone who realizes that karishma is a goat and brings her to the final. She has somehow managed to get almost everyone to hate her.

Even though i dont plus tom and the old woman (not sure of name?) were equally bad on that sand slither challenge.

It’s funny that Karishma was almost immediately singled out by her new tribe as being terrible at everything, even though, I mean, most people on that tribe are not setting the world on fire with their performances.

Not having anyone go to Island of the Idols really improved the flow of this episode. I felt like I got to actually see a good amount of the new tribe dynamics and understand more of the relationships. This reminds me of the once or twice last season when they didn’t have to show us the dozen people on Edge of Extinction and just let us watch what was happening. It’s proof that these season-long gimmicks are pretty unnecessary.

Tom seemed like a kind of odd compromise vote. He’s not particularly strong in challenges, but also isn’t necessarily the person who was holding them back. It doesn’t seem like they eliminated a threat or made tribe stronger, but I guess time will tell.

This episode was definitely the best edited of the season. The story actually flowed, and like EmmyLoser said, important parts were not cut for time.

As for why everyone puts the blame on Karishma, it’s so they can divert attention away from their own weaknesses. It happens in real life all the time. It’s how people become scapegoats.
