I feel like Karishma or Dean is next. I can’t shake the feeling that both are too naive to make it much farther

I was thinking it would be Karishma unless the show pulled something to keep her around for some reason, like sending her to Island of the Idols and getting her an immunity idol. My recording cut off before the preview for next week, so I have no idea what might happen.

I also meant to mention how hilarious the Applebee’s thing was. I’m sure it I were starving on an island I also would be thrilled for whatever they were bringing in, but I’ve never seen adults so happy to get Applebee’s.

The Applebees was obviously a major product placement that I enjoyed because it was really funny. I don’t think Karishma is going because they have her in their pocket.

Yeah funny how they all went from confident as hell to shitting in their pants. jason even fist bumping aaron’s shoulder twice before he voted and tommy as well. That desperation prob made aaron’s mind up. i mean what were they expecting.

Attitude change when they weren’t in power is shocking esp laurel. She was ready to go to rocks but a vote get blocked and she starts crying..

That’s another thing: Isn’t it a vote for whoever had tied and then rocks?

Yes, they have one revote or jeff asks them immediately if anyone is changing their vote or sticking then they do rocks.

Just watched last night, and man, I’ve never seen a tribe shift so quickly. The old Vokai totally lost it when Elaine pulled out that block-a-vote. They seemed so entitled before, claiming they were ready to go to rocks because they expected Aaron to vote with them, then being a trainwreck when Jason, who I recall they were pretty ready to vote out before, got the boot. I can’t wait to see the reaction from the other tribe when they see who got voted out.

Kellee saving Dean with her idol was quite a move, but I’m not sure it was long-term good for her. I guess we’ll see, but I did like that it made the outcome of the vote more exciting. Jamall playing the idol for Noura was kind of shocking, but I guess he was undone by his own deceptions there, since they’d told Dean they were voting out Noura. Poor pretty little Jack got the boot, and I’m surprised that he mentioned being on the jury? I don’t see why that would be.

Also, does it seem like there was a reward challenge that we just didn’t see? There was no reward as part of the immunity challenge, and when they got there, Jeff didn’t say that Lairo was getting a first look at the new Vokai, so the tribes had already seen each other (and again, the show failed to show the one thing I was most looking forward to seeing — the reaction to Jason having been voted out). Seems like Janet should have won a prize for not taking Rob and Sandra offer to play for an advantage that she correctly surmised was not particularly helpful.

    1) Yes, they didn’t air the reward challenge. Another important thing that was cut this season because of time.

    2) Kellee’s move was ballsy and I love ballsy moves like that on the show. Whether it works out for her or not, I think you have to make moves like that on this show or just fall in the background.

    3) We don’t know if Janet’s decision was the right one, as with Kellee’s. Things change every hour in that game.

    4) I love it that they showed Chris’s win last year as a way to shove it down our throats that he was a justified winner when in reality, it was the worst season of Survivor ever and he shouldn’t have even been there at the end.

    5) I hated Kellee using the sexism card at tribal when there is actually an all-girl alliance on the show.

    6) I was hoping it would’ve been Jamall voted out just because of stupidly giving the idol to Noura instead of using it on himself. That would’ve been a great twist like when that guy (don’t remember his name) gave away his immunity necklace and then was voted out.

    7) I’m liking this season because anything is better than last season’s trainwreck.

    8) I don’t have anyone who I’m rooting for yet. Maybe Kellee right now just because I love ballsy moves.

I’ve been liking Tommy and Kellee for a few weeks now, and there are a bunch of others that I’m kind of rooting for (Missy, Lauren, Elizabeth, Elaine, Aaron, Dean). Yeah, Kellee’s whole speech about the women’s alliances at tribal came across like a cover for the women’s alliance that’s been brewing. Even without knowing there was one, it’s obvious that the reason a women’s alliance is such a concern for the men is because they have no hope of getting into it, unlike pretty much any other alliance people will make in this game. Even Vinny, who thought he was in with the women’s alliance that was forming on his tribe, got the boot really early. Over the past 38 seasons, I believe there’s only been one all male top three, and even that happened in a mess of a season where two women quit the game, post merge, on the same day. But women have successfully gotten an all female final four twice.

This episode was also kind of funny because of how Karishma getting voted out has stopped even being a thing. It happens a lot in Survivor, I know, but it’s still funny that someone is a huge target for three or four tribals and then they just skate through to the end, where they get no votes. Now that they’re merging, people really won’t be in a hurry to get rid of her.
