Masked Singer made a major mistake putting one contestant in the promo. The contestants among the season have a combined “26 Grammy nominations, nine multi-platinum singles, four Oscar nominations, three Super Bowl appearances, six gold medals and two world records among them”. Confirmed costumes for this season include “pig” “Chameleon”, “Phoenix”,”Grandpa Monster”,”Russian Dolls”, “Black Swan” “Raccoon”,”Seashell”, and “Porcupine”.

BUT back to the pig……it’s clearly Nick Lachey. And they might have screwed the pooch with the russina dolls too since people seem pretty confident it’s Hanson in the comments under that video.

Skunk’s voice was giving me Melanie Fiona or Estelle vibes. I hope it’s either of the two (especially Melanie) because they deserve the — admittedly brief — spotlight this show can give them.

Puffer Fish sounded like Toni Braxton to me. But at the same time, I could just be imagining that she sounds like Toni Braxton because of that “guitarra” clue, which I’ve convinced myself is a reference to her song “Spanish Guitar” lol

Puffer Fish is Toni ‘Living Legend’ Braxton. The boomerang in the intro is a dead giveaway because she started her career with the soundtrack of Eddie Murphy’s “The Boomerang”.

Plus you have to be tone-deaf not to recognize that unique voice and singing style.

Rob Schneider would actually make perfect sense. IIRC, he was a guest on this one Christian Netflix show, and his character was something along the lines of a Roy Orbison impersonator/tribute act.

So if he was doing his Roy Orbison voice, that would explain why I kept hearing Chris Isaak’s (they’re basically the same, which is why I love them both lol).

Oh. My. God. How the hell did I not recognize her!? I only have most of her albums in my collection and listen to Goodbye Alice in Wonderland every couple months or so…

This is what I get for not paying attention to the clues. One of the first things was that her weakness is “standing still,” like her song. And then the clock pointing towards 10 o’clock (reference to her song “Ten”?). And the “lack of warmth in her household” because she grew up in Alaska. Ugh, I’m so frustrated with myself lol
