I decided to finally start watching this series in light of the sequestering. I’ve watched two episodes so far, and it’s a great show. Marie Kondo is an odd bird, but I adore her. I see why she (and the series) had the Emmy breakthrough last year. If anyone has (or hasn’t) watched it, let’s discuss it here. Season 1 is currently streaming on Netflix.

“Sparking Joy With Marie Kondo” hails from Alfred Street Industries and is exec produced by Kondo, Takumi Kawahara, Dan Cutforth, Jane Lipsitz, and Dan Volpe.
Groundbreaking? YMMV, but it’s Kondo specifically that’s the revelation here, not necessarily the sorting techniques she implements. I do like the idea she has of only keeping things that bring you “joy,” and interrogating the reasons why you keep things that have no real value to you just because. You’ll have to judge for yourself by watching.
