NBC just fired Donald Trump, yet “Celebrity Apprentice” will continue for Season 15. Who do YOU want to replace the Trumpster on the long-running reality show? Sound off!June 29, 2015 at 9:07 pm #555733
My vote would go to the show’s very first celeb champion Piers Morgan. Every time he returns as an advisor, Morgan has no problems digging in and asking the tough questions of the contestants. He’s tough, he’s fierce and he has a relationship with NBC already, having judged “America’s Got Talent” for the first six seasons.June 30, 2015 at 12:11 am #555734
One of the “Shark Tank” people. Mark Cuban is the most recognizable name there.June 30, 2015 at 2:36 am #555735
The “Shark Tank” people are obviously under contract to a different network.June 30, 2015 at 2:48 am #555736
I would laugh my ass off if it was Carlos Slim.June 30, 2015 at 5:29 am #555737
…Martha Stewart.June 30, 2015 at 5:33 am #555738
Has Carlos Slim ever done television in general, or on this level? Because that would be hilarious and appropiate.
Hopefully not Piers Morgan. He’s a huge asshole and not even close to fun as a villain, just a villain in general. Most of the things he’s done and said on the show as a guest….judge?…have been ridiculous, provoking people and just for show (even more so than Trump’s classic “just for show” decisions). The worst part is that you just know he’s at least on the list of candidates.
Mark Cuban seems like a logical choice, but yeah, I don’t see him doing this and Shark Tank on another network.
I remember the show with Martha Stewart, she just took herself way too seriously and wasn’t a lot of fun to watch, however her recent spots on Fashion Police and the Bieber Roast kind of make me want to see her doing this again.
For a guy who didn’t do anything special on the show since the novelty wore off and the contestants were the main reason to watch, Donald Trump sure looks hard to replace now.June 30, 2015 at 5:35 am #555739
Oh and since we’re talking about Apprentice and Reality Shows and there’s no other place to post this…Nene Leakes just quit Real Housewives and guess who’s joining the cast….Tootie!
We need a RH thread…June 30, 2015 at 7:02 am #555740
Morgan is an audience repeller. Trump had his haters but still had fans and morgan is just awful.June 30, 2015 at 8:32 am #555741
Just a few I can think of and why….and why not I think they would be a good choice:
1) Richard Branson: People know him and a lot of people like him. He is smart. Saying that, is he too boring for tv?
2) Martha Stewart: People love her…others not as much. But she is quite the tough cookie.
3)Ivanka Trump: She has been on the show for a long time as his right hand person. Too dull for tv?
4)Don Jr. : He knows the ins and outs of the show too but do people like him?
5)Bill Rancic: Smart Guy. Funny guy. Actually normal looking guy. Still relevant?
6)Alan Sugar: Already goes the British version and is good but too mean?
7) Howard Stern: Because well he is just fun.June 30, 2015 at 10:27 am #555742
Piers Morgan is a tool. He’ll be controversial and condescending, so I guess he’s perfect.
Except for the fact that he doesn’t bring the same business acumen to the table that both Trump and Martha Stewart did as hosts of the franchise. Aside from winning the not-at-all-actually-business-oriented Celebrity version, what are his qualifications?
I’m more on board with someone from the non-exactly-a-celebrity-yet business realm. Like Amy Pascal or something. lolJune 30, 2015 at 10:28 am #555743
The “Shark Tank” people are obviously under contract to a different network.
Yes Sherlock, people realize that. But contracts expire, and who’s to say how long Mark Cuban will remain on “Shark Tank”? All that was asked for in this thread were suggestions for Trump’s replacement, plausible and implausible, so chill.June 30, 2015 at 3:13 pm #555744
Lol at Amy Pascal…
I don’t think it would be the craziest idea to bring back Martha Stewart really. All she needs to do is chill.
Branson makes sense but as a personality, not enough people know him or care for him.
Bill Rancic is a nice choice, but he’s not that big in terms of business just yet, so I don’t see any “we have to impress Bill” pressure going on.
The Trump Kids…maybe just Ivanka. I always asumed she would take Donald’s place anyway, she’s tough, she can be a tool if she wants too, she can and has picked an argument out of nowhere just to get you fired like her dad, so she makes sense. I don’t if she’ll take the job now that they’ve fired her dad or if the network would even consider her because of the whole issue. But she’s the logical choice as we’ve already seen her do half the job already.June 30, 2015 at 4:08 pm #555745
My vote goes to Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus.
