It doesn’t feel forced like in some other reality shows. Most of the featured acts were given a yes to the Duels. Some strong acts, some middling acts. I’m excited to see where this season goes. It must have filmed pretty fast. Constant references to J-Lo’s halftime show means at least early-February to when the world stopped in March. If filming is nonstop each day, I guess that’s enough time to film this season until the end. I don’t recall any of the show being done live in the past.

That and they don’t let fans vote.
The First 2 seasons were good, but after Jenna left, its gone to hell.
I watched the first episode last night it was garbage.

Jefferson y Adrianita: Great.
Jake & Chau: Great.
GRVMNT: They should have gone straight through.
The Williams Fam: Should have gotten a callback. They were amusing as hell.
Bailey & Kida: Hard Pass. He has the “it factor” she does not.
Savannah Manzel: Wow. She killed it.May 27, 2020 at 11:11 am #1203503615Savannah was quite heart-warming. Rooting for her!

Indigineous Enterprise: I liked them
305: Great
James & Harris: Great
Styles & Emma: Great
Oxygen: great
Luca & Alessandra: great
UPeepz: My favs so farJune 6, 2020 at 3:44 pm #1203519667Nice stories they focused on here. I would have easily given Indigineous Enterprises a callback, at least. UPeepz seems like the kind of group that can go far, and it’s nice to see them continue in the footsteps of their pupils from last season. The ballet duo was stunning. Both of them were great. I would have liked to hear a little bit about the girl though lol. All the airtime with them was spent talking about the guy’s disabled mother and working full-time at McDonalds and training at night to make it happen.

ReplyCopy URLJune 11, 2020 at 7:27 am #1203527648Episode didn’t tape completely, so I think I missed a few acts. I wish more groups were featured in general, b/c the padding with the backstories and commercials can be excessive. No major standouts from what I ended up seeing.
ReplyCopy URLJune 18, 2020 at 5:39 am #1203540273Lots of acts crammed in this last auditions episode and many of them were callbacks. Too many to count, but I did like the French group that went first with the geometric shapes, the Argentinian group that lost a member to injury, the ballet girl, the lanky contemporary dance who was from a small town and bullied for being a dancer, and the merged supergroup from last season that didn’t make it. Ready for the callbacks! Didn’t realize there was a cutoff. Ten acts for four slots aren’t all that great for odds, but it makes things competitive. Best of luck to all the groups!
ReplyCopy URLJune 18, 2020 at 5:53 am #1203540297I disagreed with the decision to not put through the merged group, they were the best of all of the auditions. The solo dancer was great too. I wonder if the French group have anything else or that is all that they do? We’ll find out in the next round.
ReplyCopy URLJune 26, 2020 at 2:54 am #1203552561The four teams chosen from the callbacks were routinely strong. I did think they would have wanted to pass through an all-female team for visibility’s sake, like Project 21 or Pumpfidence, but maybe they weren’t there there yet. Let’s also note that pandering to performing with a J-Lo song doesn’t work! The editors really overplayed their hands by showcasing the groups they were inevitably going to send through versus the ones that they kinda scooted on by. The Rise was always getting in. Young Cast came outta nowhere, so good for them. 305 has the J-Lo connection (they performed with her at the Super Bowl; young, Latin ballroom dance group from Miami). GRVMNT is a team to look out for in the Duels. Super clean, tight, and photogenic group of Asian hip-hop Canadian dancers. All boxes checked there lol. The only group I felt bad for were the Argentian guys with the injured member in crutches. He suffered this while practicing on the show! Their backstory was a tough one, and you can tell that they dealt with a lot back home to make it here. Definitely a redemption arc for them next season if they return, that is if an international show like this can take place for the next few years in a global pandemic. Anyways, onto the Duels!
