The NFL Playoffs are almost upon us, and the last week will decide the fates of a final few teams. Here’s the state of the playoff picture:
In the playoffs are:
Patriots, Broncos. Colts, Steelers, Seahawks, Lions, Packers. Cowboys and Cardinals.
The most interesting game of the week is between the Panthers and Falcons, with the winner advancing to the playoffs, and the loser being eliminated. Either team would be the only team in the playoffs with a losing record.
The Broncos can clinch a playoff spot tonight, but will need to beat the Steelers next week to clinch the division. If they lose both games, then they have a small chance of being eliminated.
Then we have a toss up for the final playoff spot, with the Chargers, Ravens, Texans and Chiefs all having a shot, but if they don’t win, they aren’t in.
So, who will make it into the playoffs? My bet is that the Falcons will beat the Panthers, and the Chargers will beat the Chiefs, with both advancing to the playoffs. Post your thoughts below!

Well, the Falcons surprised me by crushing the Saints. I may have been underestimating them.
My fave team the ’49ers are tanking, bless their hearts.
Right now my chips are beside Denver, and maybe even Dallas to perhaps make it past the first round or so. They appear to be rebuilding some momentum. And who knows what Arizona will do come playoff time?December 22, 2014 at 10:51 am #556244
If we’re talking favourites, my Bears deprived me of their annual late-season collapse by never even being in the conversation in the first place. On the brighter side, two of my second tier favourites, Seattle and Pittsburgh are both looking pretty good (though the Bills continue their trek in the mediocre middle). After the Seahawks helped me win my playoff pool last year, I’m hoping it’s the Steelers turn to win it all!
My non-sentimental pick to win is theCowboys, who have really impressed me lately, and I also think that Arizona could be a dark horse. You can never count out the Patriots, but the Broncos can take them down if it comes down to it. I would not be surprised if we got a Super Bowl rematch this year, but even as a Seahawks fan, I would want one that was a bit more interesting.January 18, 2015 at 3:00 pm #556245
The Bleat_hawks shame themselves again! Good gawd.January 18, 2015 at 3:02 pm #556246
Patriots got this. Me being from the New England area me and my family are going to be watching the game now. I’m rooting for the PATS!January 18, 2015 at 3:07 pm #556247
Hold on! On-side kick!!!!
C’mon Seahawks.January 18, 2015 at 3:35 pm #556248

I’m a New England rooter as well. They have this tendency to lose in key games but this year I hope their experience, luck, and good play gets them to the Superbowl. I hope I’m wrong but I suspect that the Colts are going to be in the game right to the end.January 18, 2015 at 3:44 pm #556249
Really pathetic second half implosion by Green Bay. They were too focused on clock management instead of putting points on the board, which never leads to good things. Now I have to root like all hell for a Colts upset. A Pats-Seahawks Superbowl would really disturb my soul.January 18, 2015 at 3:55 pm #556250
Great finish / collapse in that game. It’ll be a strong ESPY contender for Best Game (depending on the Super Bowl). It doesn’t deserve to beat Game 7 of the World Series or the AL Wildcard Game. But it’s football so it’ll likely win. Blah.
They really need to fix the overtime rules again. Both teams should get the ball regardless if the first team scores a touchdown. Coin toss shouldn’t impact the game that much.January 18, 2015 at 4:22 pm #556251

It’s a completely ridiculous rule and stains the game almost as much as Goodell and all that foolishness from players.January 29, 2015 at 3:35 pm #556252
I’m wondering if this “scandal” with NE will affect their play, for the better or for worse. Or perhaps not at all.
Either way Seattle has an opportunity here to “mindgame” the heck out of Tom Brady’s bunch. On the other hand, I cant see them getting to a veteran like Brady.January 31, 2015 at 2:49 am #556253
I guess I hate the Seahawks a bit less the Pats, so I’ll root for the latter. I’m thinking New England will win however.February 1, 2015 at 2:12 pm #556254
The International Business Times (and their borrowers) is reporting that millions of (Americans) will “call in sick” on Monday.
I’m for calling that day a National holiday.February 1, 2015 at 2:17 pm #556255
I’m hoping for a Seahawks win, because they are one of my favourite teams, and also I just dislike the patriots because they won so often when I was just getting into football. I think it will be an exciting game no matter what. I generally don’t like seeing the same team win twice in a row, but this time I’ll make an exception.
