I bet that they amend the rule to be inclusive of fifty-percent performances. A big question mark at this time of year is who appears on Saturday Night Live in the spring. And if Larry David does not host, will they submit him anyway? Peter Scolari versus Peter MacNicol will be a fun fight if the former gets in again.

Good God, imagine if McCarthy winds up the sole nomination for Gilmore Girls.

I think Connie Britton will get her final nomination for Nashville, it was announced she’d be in 10/22 of the episodes, and that number seems very specific, I can’t see her not submitting here. I also think Twin Peaks might get more nominations in these categories than House of Cards for this Emmy cycle.

Do you think GILMORE GIRLS will submit as series and not limited series?

Movie stars do not get nominated for hosting Saturday Night Live; the hosts who get nominated pretty much all have backgrounds in television comedy.

Yeah, Tom Hanks has never been nominated for any of his 8 other times hosting. I think that Dave Chappelle’s return to TV after a decade will and should get nominated over Tom Hanks.

On the Drama side, I think Denis O’Hare will be in the mix for NBC’s This Is Us. He has a recurring role this season that starts with the December 6 episode.

Lorraine Tousaint for blackish. She was SOOOO good! I can’t imagine blackish not gettIng a guest nom this year, they have some high profile talent with hilarious performances from daveed diggs and Beu Bridges. Hopefully insecure can get guest noms from Freddy Kuguru, niles stewart,  rick Holmes, Alano Miller, Jane Adams, Aubin Wise, and Mary Kraft. Also, Tracey Lysette NEEDS to be nominated, and hopefully Natasha rothwell can get a nom for insecure. SNL has plenty of options, mostly with guys so far.  I would be suprised if Lin Manuel Miranda didn’t get a nom. Adam Scott was amazing on The good place. He should win. Also, Chris Pratt is guest staring on Mom, so can they finically pull a geust nom with his star power. I hope the rules change to half plus one because there are many great performances like Lisa Bonet and Mahershala Ali that would not make the supporting category. I know some people disagree, but in my opinion, Laverne Cox gave an amazing performance and should win. It would be great if Mike Birbiglia could get in for OITNB. I hope BD Wong and Craig Robinson can score noms for Mr.Robot. Also I can’t imagine Tessa Thompson being overlooked for her stellar work.

Also, am I crazy or was that Robert Forster in the picture Anthony Hopkins shows of him and Aronold on Westworld? Because he seems like if he has a presence in the finally he would get a nom.

Melissa McCarthy, for an 8-minute performance? Would that be a record?

LOL no!!! Margo Martindale won for 90 seconds. Ellen Burtun was nominated for I think 14 seconds.
