Riley usually starts the guild threads, but since we don’t have one yet and more and more guild awards are announcing their nominations, it will be better to have all of them in one place rather than opening a new topic for all of them individually.

Thanks for picking up the slack!  I cannot believe that there was no Ozark in the costume and makeup nominations today.  It felt like its first shutout since the nominations from the trusty writers.  Both groups also ignored all of the new dramas, which has been quite the disheartening trend to witness over the last month.  The makeup guild nominated To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before in television, like they did for Mudbound.

I’m surprised Escape at Dannemora didn’t get a nomination for make-up. It’s doing decent at guilds and Arquette’s transformation seemed like a big thing. Saturday Night Live being nominated for period make-up is laughable.

Thank you so much for doing this!

Is the Art Directors Guild the first awards recognition of any kind The Haunting of Hill House has received?

Probably has already been remarked upon in individual threads but Succession seems to be the only newbie making an impression with the guilds on the drama side, even over Homecoming which is somewhat surprising. I suspect it is Top 10 for series with a solid chance at a nomination.

Game of Thrones is ineligible, and all I need to say about The Good Place’s finest VFX half hour is one word.

That still was from Westworld though, not Game of Thrones…

I will only be back on Goldderby until the Oscar winners are announced on February 24th. After that, I look forward deleting this new account and finally being gone for good. I'm just too curious and eager to see how well I do with my predictions compared to everyone else this awards season.

Goldderby Film Awards FYC: Isle of Dogs in ALL categories, including and especially Score!

The Hate U Give for Best Picture, Actress, Supporting Actor, Ensemble, and Adapted Screenplay.

Actually, Riley had included a still from Game of Thrones before editing it out.
