Let’s go One Day at a Time! Start here, then TCAs and then Emmys!! Come on Netflix pull through.

Low key though I’m actually considering predicting Machado at the Emmys because she seems to have a decent amount of buzz and almost anyone that saw her performance in “Hello, Penelope” would vote for her.

i love Moreno, but Machado is the real MVP. Future Golden Globe winner tbh. Also happy for Insecure. it’s buzz has kinda been muted, so happy to see it pop up somewhere.

Thrilled for “Insecure” (some recognition finally!), “BCS,” “Handmaid’s,” “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” and “LWT.” Not as sure about “SNL,” though I get its continued cultural relevance and legacy impact. This season has been a marked decline from last year’s landmark season. Congrats to the winners all the same!

American Vandal now adds the Peabody shortlist to its accolades from the Writers Guild and the Broadcast Film Critics.

If you don’t know who drew the dicks, it’s time to turn on Netflix for one of the great shows of this season!

Underestimate American Vandal at the Emmys at your own predictions peril! I haven’t even seen it yet, I’m just going objectively based off of buzz and passion. It reminds me of Get Out at the Oscars, where people are not taking it seriously as a strong contender in spite of its critical acclaim and the lead (Kaluuya) is at 100/1 odds for a long damn time just like the Vandal lead (Tatro) currently is. Like Get Out, Vandal will probably end up with a Writing Award, even if that ends up being the shows only win.

With Peabody, WGA, and Critics Choice nominations, and probably at least one TCA nomination to come it’s way, I am going to slot AV in my predictions.

So happy for Insecure! Wish that would translate into Emmy noms but it most likely won’t. 🙁

Hold the phone…EIGHT EPISODES. Limited series, obviously. Not comedy. Too few eps.
