“No animated characters were harmed in the making of this program”

At least it wasn’t a total shutout for broadcast TV – SNL got two wins

With the exception of Jason Bateman, all the winners are great. The Emmys got it right this year.

Succession is not sweeping next year. What on earth gives people that impression. It is returning to drama series, might pick up a couple of acting nominations in supporting actor, but I doubt it wins anything (not that it shouldn’t – it’s definitely deserving).

Let us not forget that Succession would have really struggled with The Crown in the mix as it would win Drama Series as well.

We all knew the drama categories were trash ever since nominations came out though. The Comedy and Limited categories had arguably the strongest wins they’ve had in years, and that’s worth celebrating

And ppl here were saying if Got got 32 noms, they will sweep lol!! I even said to a delusional user that winning the technical awards is not surprising since Got is a fantasy series… now they flopped so hard I mean directing to Jason Bateman, they Emmy tried it lol. Bye bitches!!!

Well, I hated so much about this year’s ceremony. Some good stuff, but I am bitter about certain things – VERY bitter.

    I got drunk for nothing.

I would’ve easily traded this win for Directing (Sapochnik) or Actress/Supporting Actress.

Also really random note but TIL that Ramin Djawadi wasn’t even nominated in Outstanding Musical Composition for the Winds of Winter. How?

I think Winds of Winter wasn’t submitted that year for Composition if I remember correctly.

Same here. Comedy deserved the  fragmented winners Drama had.

At least this will be the last time I’ll ever have to see “Game of Thrones” win undeserved Drama Series Emmys. Soooo glad D&D lost writing and directing.

Next year: “The Crown,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Ozark,” “Pose,” “Succession,” and “This Is Us” … things are gonna get ugly, people.
