    ^lol.

Any idea about when was the last time neither one of the announcers have gotten any sort of Emmy nom, tho? Michael Imperioli and Jami Gertz in 2005?

All of those Mindy Kaling snubs for The Mindy Project…. I’m furious.

D’arcy is now a good bet for a nom. They love doing that whole “we just learned that you have been nominated!!” skit.

I hope this is good news for Carden. Based on those who previously announced nominees:

    2017 – Anna Chlumsky & Shemar Moore
    2016 – Lauren Graham & Anthony Anderson
    2015 – Uzo Aduba & Cat Deeley
    2014 – Mindy Kaling & Carson Daly
2013 – Aaron Paul & Neil Patrick Harris (Harris filled in last minute because he was hosting the show)
2012 – Kerry Washington & Jimmy Kimmel (Kimmel filled in last minute because he was hosting the show)
    2011 – Melissa McCarthy & Joshua Jackson
    2010 – Sofia Vergara & Joel McHale
    2009 – Chandra Wilson & Jim Parsons
2008 – Kristin Chenoweth & Neil Patrick Harris
    2007 – Kyra Sedgwick & Jon Cryer
    2006 – Julia Louis-Dreyfus & Brad Garrett
    2005 – Jami Gertz & Michael Imperioli
    2004 – Edie Falco & Tony Shalhoub
    2003 – Jane Kaczmarek & Michael Chiklis
    2002 – Laura Innes & Eric McCormack
    2001 – Patricia Heaton & Sean Hayes
    2000 – Edie Falco & Michael Badalucco

Thanks for the list! Wasn’t 2012 the first year Jimmy Kimmel Live nominated, though?

Yes, you are correct, both Harris and Kimmel were nominated the years they hosted so I corrected the post. But they were not announced as nominees during the announcement if I recall correctly nor was Carson Daly singled out as a producer of The Voice.

At least The Good Place won’t get entirely shut out July 16.

Let me add Carden then. I don’t believe Ken Jeong is eligible for anything, unless The Masked Singer gets nominated?

See, interestingly, I think that this means more for their shows getting into program categories than for individual nominations for Jeong or Carden. I’d love to see Jeong announced as host too.

Something giving me pause about D’Arcy Carden is that they never nominated Nick Offerman, who was the standout supporting performer from a previous Michael Schur sitcom that scored major Emmy nominations.

This is one snub I’ll never understand.

I am still not predicting D’Arcy Carden. She has a showy role, but I don’t think the buzz from her performance is going to be able to overcome performances with similar buzz from more recent releases, like Olivia Colman in Fleabag or Sarah Goldberg in Barry, or performances from shows with more support overall, like Alex Borstein and Marin Hinkle from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Anna Chlumsky from Veep.

Also, Carden stars in Barry too… Yes, her role is way more prominent in The Good Place, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that The Good Place will be the one of her two shows that gets a bunch of nominations. I agree, I still don’t think she’s getting in.
