I’m not predicting a snub but im surprised nobody has questioned Hugh being such a lock with GD when he’s missed before twice in the movie side for the Oscars when he hit the precursors and even won some of them and is past his prime/popularity days and has stated in the past he finds acting more of a job than a passion and criticized some of his past projects

I know that some people are still predicting it in series on here and it baffles me. The show proved to only be a Globes thing and flopped tremendously at the guilds (even Genuis got into more). I’m not predicting him to be snubbed either but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was.

The situation with Brit shows (especially in Limited category) gets me thinking how international the Emmy voting bloc actually is. They seem to be more receptive of them than the guilds. The Night Manager, The Honorable Woman, The Hour etc. Or is it because most of them are ineligible at the guilds? I wonder if it will be enough to push Chernobyl over WTSU, which has made more impact overseas than it has been in USA.

I would really like to see a tie for Limited Series.

Both Chernobyl and When They See Us are SO important, dealing with difficult subjects and yet making it in the best way possible.

    I can’t choose between them.

Have we seen a tie before at the Emmys? Does anyone know the rules of how that would be able to occur?

Just came here after finishing When They See Us to say that Jharrel Jerome better win if nominated. That is all. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

This is one tie that I know of from 1995:

    WINNER
    Judy Davis
Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story
For playing “Diane”. Tied with Shirley Knight for Indictment: The McMartin Trial (1995).

    WINNER
    Shirley Knight
    Indictment: The McMartin Trial
For playing “Peggy Buckey”. Tied with Judy Davis for Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story (1995).

    Sada Thompson
    Indictment: The McMartin Trial
    For playing “Virginia McMartin”.

    Sissy Spacek
    The Good Old Boys
    For playing “Spring Renfro”.

    Sônia Braga
The Burning Season: The Chico Mendes Story
    The Burning Season (original title)
    For playing “Regina de Catrvalho”.

Chernobyl is winning, When They See Us is right behind it.

Because Chernobyl doesn’t have any of it, right?

Hopefully Chernobyl wins and the three leads land nominations in their categories.

When They See Us is not winning. Outside the GD bubble, no one is talking about it, whereas people are rooting for Chernobyl and members will take that into consideration too.

I think Watson and Skarsgard have solid chances at winning

I don’t know where you’ve been looking, but Daniel even wrote an article about all celebs that were praising the show.

Oscar FYC - Lupita Nyong'o & Elisabeth Moss ("Us") - Best Actress & Supporting Actress. It must happen; otherwise the Tethered are coming.
