Wondering why Justin Bartha is in the prediction center for The Good Fight when he hasn’t been featured in season 3?

@wolfali those are pretty much identical to mine but with Shaw ahead of Seehorn and without Bassett who wasn’t submitted. This year is very predictable and boring. Happy to be proved wrong.

Oh didn’t know Bassett hasn’t been submitted. I think Drama Supporting Actress is a race that’s now a four-way one now Hawes has changed category. It’s Garner vs Hawes vs Williams vs Headey. But seeming how this season of GoT has played out so far, I would say that Williams will take votes away from Headey and it’s now mainly between Garner and Hawes (especially if Richard Madden wins Best Drama Actor or if Jason Bateman wins Best Drama Actor or if the shows win Best Drama Writing and Directing). I think Bodyguard is a dark horse here because if nominated and the GoT controversy continues, then it’s a close race here.

FYC Emmys 2019 : Phoebe Waller–Bridge ("Fleabag") for Best Actress in a Comedy Series, Sandra Oh ("Killing Eve") for Best Actress in a Drama Series, Michael Sheen ("The Good Fight") for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, Keeley Hawes ("Bodyguard") for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, "Maniac", "The Good Fight" and "Killing Eve" in all eligible categories.

    DRAMA DIRECTING

    1. Ozark (Reparations) – Jason Bateman
    2. Ozark (The Precious Blood of Jesus) – Jason Bateman

    This is against the rules.

Oops, my mistake. But I still think Ozark will get two directing noms.

Hawes features heavily in Netflix’s screener package for Bodyguard. Could they be pushing her hard for Supporting? I mean, she may end up being Netflix’s only other nominee for S.Actress apart from Garner

The one single positive thing the entire GoT backlash can do is grant them only 1 directing nom, in this case I can’t see them losing. However it will indicate lack of general support, which might hints bad things about the big prize. I hope all will go well haha

You really don’t need to worry, the show is still winning Drama Series. If it doesn’t, I will eat a crow.

Ozark is not submitting a second director, but one of the directors might submit themselves, which is much more common than on the writing side because directors are usually only contracted for episodes, so shows do not have much control of them. Neither of the Ozark guest directors submitted themselves last year, but the show had twice as many this season.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse should have solely submitted “Return to Murder House” in writing and directing. Also, I would like to see Harriet Sansom Harris in guest along with Lily Rabe.

I think their writing and directing submissions are perfect. Those were, at least IMO, two of their best episodes of the season. I would LOVE to see Sarah nominated for directing!!!

I wouldn’t mind Sarah either, but unless GoT only receives one nomination, I doubt she manages to sneak in. We have Game of Thrones with 3 potential nominations, Succession, Better Call Saul (altho I feel it could get snubbed), Ozark which snatched 2 noms last year and could do it again, Homecoming of which all eps were directed by Sam Esmail (something the Emmys embrace), Bodyguard, Jack Ryan (featuring Oscar and Emmy nominated directors), maybe even House of Cards as well.

GoT winning after such a mediocre season would be a joke. But at least I have this feeling writers will snub it and not even nominate a single episode.
