The odds are so annoying right now! Hopefully in a few days they’ll be 1 and 2.

    For Your Consideration:

Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)

Guest Actor, Drama 1. Bradley Whitford – The Handmaid’s Tale 2. Glynn Turman – How to Get Away with Murder 3. Ron Cephas Jones – This Is Us 4. James Cromwell – Succession 5. Michael McKean – Better Call Saul 6. B.D. Wong – American Horror Story: Apocalypse —— 7. Dermot Mulroney – Homecoming 8. Jeremy Allen White – Homecoming 9. Jon Cryer – Supergirl 10. Kendrick Lamar – Power (What a weak field this year, struggled to come up with 6 names. Even considering Cryer & Lamar — who both fantastic in their episodes but are never happened with Academy tastes — as potential spoilers)

You have people like Kendrick Lamar having more of a chance at scoring a nomination before Griffin Dunne?

For those who don’t watch TBBT. Regina King has appeared in 6 episodes.

    2 in Season 6, 1 in Season 7, 8, 11 and 12.

She plays Janine Davis, The Human Resources Lady. She is quite a funny character and she was Good this season, deserving of a nod. However, If she gets nominated and Christine Baranski does not, I will not be happy. Baranski had such an amazing episode ‘The Maternal Conclusion’, it was really emotional and I’m hoping she can win with this submission.

Globes FYC- Fleabag, Phoebe Waller Bridge, Jodie Comer, Dame Emma Thompson, The Crown

SAG FYC- The Crown, Olivia Colman, Fleabag, PWB

Critics Choice- Schitts Creek, Fleabag, Killing Eve, Bodyguard

    BAFTA- Fleabag, Killing Eve

Oscars FYC ‘Little Women’ ‘Downton Abbey’ ‘Maggie Smith’

Although, I pray for resfreshing take and breathtaking surprise nominees, such as KST (Fleabag), Lou Corfield (Sex Education), Harriet Walter (Succession), I hope there won’t be boring repeats. And less SNL, of course.

Also, I hope Britton will go through and earn her well-deserved nom in a comedy section despite infamous SMILF scandal – she has an episode and it’s time for her to shine.

Those three were really good and deserve to be nominated. I also agree you on SNL performers, what they do is very different than other contenders.

How come Cherry Jones is first in Prediction center for Guest actress? I hope we are not getting this kind of anti-climax for the second year in a row

Well, they haven’t properly updated yet. Still, Handmaid’s has gone 2-for-2, and that can’t be ignored.

Oscar FYC - Lupita Nyong'o & Elisabeth Moss ("Us") - Best Actress & Supporting Actress. It must happen; otherwise the Tethered are coming.

A nightmare. I think people saw her in first earlier and are predicting her purely going off that. There is no way there are that many fans of her performance. I really dislike the hanging episodes loophole.

Well, Cherry Jones just appreared in a flashback of a recent THT episode and there wasn’t too much either. They should give her a proper storyline. Otherwise, I’d take Sidney Sweeney any other day over her and she wasn’t even submitted.

Both Samira Wiley and Alexis Bledel won for acclaimed performances, Jones on the other hand gave a nothing performance one year ago. The TV Academy worships Jessica Lange, she’s winning.

Margo Martindale won twice because she was a respected veteran actress that had already won an Emmy, despite appearing in like 2 minutes that first year. Sounds very much like Jones, just that she’s actually in like 10 minutes of “Holly,” playing the titular character. I have her in third, just because I think Lange and Van Houten will have more passion.

I doubt Jones is as respected or known as Margo Martindale. Lange has more prestige than Tyson, Burstyn or Rigg, who Martindale had to face.

I’m not arguing against Lange – I have her winning – I’m just trying to explain why she’s so high in our predictions. She’s a previous Emmy winner, Tony winner, and a returnee from last year.

But my God this category is great. If it were up to me legend Cicely Tyson would win, or queen Carice van Houten, but I can’t push back against Lange because her AHS return was simply divine.

The nomination itself would be a delight in the middle of the day. Just by looking at that potentially dreadul set of nominees, the possibility is pretty high. At least having a personal favorite is reassuring.

Van Houten will definitely be nominated and that’s a big enough reward for her in itself

For sure. If she’s nominated I’d treat it as a victory. At the very least she deserves to be recognised for her work. I do think she would have an outside shot at winning though (but I don’t know whether I would necessarily predict it).
