My biggest prediction is Michael Mosley for Ozark (Drama Guest Actor)…he has a meaty part and after nominations for Shannon Purser and Kelly Jenrette, we know that name does not always matter anymore…July 11, 2019 at 2:11 am #1202970419
Are we underestimating Adam Scott for Twilight Zone??July 11, 2019 at 3:17 am #1202970440
I think people are underestimating him for The Good Place, but not The Twilight Zone.July 11, 2019 at 7:43 pm #1202971603
I think he was much better in TGP season 1 than in 3 thoughJuly 11, 2019 at 7:59 pm #1202971620
I know some people are expecting some sort of The Good Fight breakthrough but if the last two years have taught me anything, people just do not watch it, let alone have CBS All Access.
Last year, in the guest categories, Gold Derby predicted Margo Martindale and Alan Alda, and the year before that, Gold Derby predicted Carrie Preston and Dylan Baker. None of those four got in. This year, Gold Derby is predicting Tituss Burgess. I am not going to fall for it again.
I’m still not buying this idea that The Good Fight is able to get major nominations in acting categories, whether it be for big name guest stars or Christine Baranski.July 11, 2019 at 9:04 pm #1202971693
I was one of the people making the case for why The Good Fight might break through this year (not actually predicting it anywhere though) but the Tituss Burgess thing is kind of ridiculous. He just did nothing, I don’t think he’s a big enough name to get checked off like that. Titus Andromedon is an iconic character, they love him for that role but I honestly doubt he’ll have much emmy success outside of UKS, definitely not for completely forgettable guest roles like this.July 11, 2019 at 11:45 pm #1202971843
She’s not on the predictions center, but does Harriet Walter have a shot for Succession? I’ve heard she’s good on the show and the category is wide open. She’s not a nobody; having over more than 100 credits on IMDB and having been invited to AMPAS acting branch recently.
I could see Succession sweep with nominations for Cox, Strong, Snook, Culkin, Macfadyen, Smith-Cameron and Cromwell, but I would still not predict Walter. An Emmy nomination for her would be totally unwarranted.
Turns out that AwardsWatch nominated her and they only had five slots, so what do I know?July 12, 2019 at 7:25 am #1202972208
What do you mean they nominated her? Nominated her where?July 12, 2019 at 8:34 am #1202972339
Carice collecting her first award for GOT (if we can call it an award)!July 12, 2019 at 9:00 am #1202972372
