Hopefully they give Lynch the Emmy they robbed her off last year for Maisel.

Lynch was my second choice after Molly Shannon from Will & Grace for Guest Actress last year.

Okay, this is random and late but I didn’t post on here around last year’s: how the hell did Diana Rigg lose last year?

I hope no one from SNL wins. They’ve been robbing people left and right the past few years. Also, Jane Lynch was not as good as last season on the Marvelous Mrs Maisel imo but I’d be fine with her winning.

Cicely Tyson rises with all these shows being ineligible.

I think she’s the frontrunner right now.

Samira Wiley cried in her episode and people considered her overdue because of Orange is the New Black.

It’s Cicely Tyson vs Phylicia Rashad for Drama Guest Actress

    Ron Cephas Jones to repeat?

Maybe Tobias Menzies may be eligible for Game of Thrones

Lol this cracked me up more than it should have. That’s so odd since she was more than likely going to get nominated again and this was Rigg’s last chance (not to mention she was the definition of overdue). Rigg’s submission was beyond iconic.

This year is so weak that The Good Fight could finally be a contender, especially with Alfre Woodard being in the premiere.

That wasn’t Alfre Woodard. lol. The actress who played the secretary is named Regina Taylor (who is a previous Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee). Personally, I don’t think that actress/role was enough to score a nomination.

Additionally, if Alan Alda and Margo Martindale couldn’t get in last year for The Good Fight, I’m not sure if anyone would have a chance from that series (as much as it might be deserved!).

Drama Actresss -Phylicia Rashad -This Is Us

Drama Actor-TBD probably someone from GOT

    Comedy Actor-John Mulaney l-SNL

    Comedy Actress-Emma Stone -SNL

*Don’t think she is winning for Maniac but she is liked in the industry and this could easily be a way to reward her for that performance.

John Mulaney seems like a slam dunk and I feel strongly enough about Michael McKean for Better Call Saul, which I have to specify since he is also in contention for The Good Place and Veep. Ron Cephas Jones is the safe choice of course, as the incumbent winner. Phylicia Rashad and Jane Lynch might best fit the profile of “early frontrunner” on the actress side, but I am less confident about them.

Lin-Manuel Miranda for Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Both nominees last year in the category.

Rigg’s submission was not iconic to me. It was probably her best in that she revealed something, but it did not blow me away. Her scene was a mix of the writing and her acting – it was good, but did not scream Emmy (to me).

Cicely Tyson’s submission was much stronger and more deserving that Rigg’s submission.
