Now I am really getting excited about this Emmy season if I think about it:

The best male performance I have seen this season – and I haven’t seen Bodyguard yet – is Penn Badgley from YOU (next to Milo). YOU isn’t that great of a show (I loved it but that doesn’t make it good), but he exceptional. Talk about a layered performance. I will be stanning hard for him even though a nod is pretty much beyond the realm of possibility.

It would be great if both Madden and Headey won.

Game of Thrones way have like 25 bids this year, but I fear it may struggle with winning because of vote splitting. The directing category is going to be tough; Sapochnik’s episode is said to be a masterpiece (of course), but if the series finale is a crowning achievement, I could easily see David & Dan stealing votes from him. I totally expect more than one supporting actress nod this year again, which will kill Headey’s chances of winning that damn overdue statuette. I am curious to see if some characters die early on, making the actors eligible in the guest categories. .

I can definitely see them losing directing this year because of vote splitting. With all those strong contenders missing, I won’t be surprised if Nutter will get in as well. And thinking about it, I don’t think it was even splitting in the first place that made them lose this year (since they also lost Casting to the Crown, where allegedly all the votes from GoT supporters would have gone to a single slot, and yet they lost there too). On the other hand, Sapochnik’s episode might be so undeniable it might endure the splitting (like in 2016, the Door was pretty acclaimed as well and Bender is a respected figure, yet no one could deny the Battle of the Bastards) Thank god there can’t be no splitting on the writing category. Or Drama series haha. They are gonna lose some more on technical categories if they wont be smarter than this year

God, let’s just skip this year. Game of Thrones will sweep everything.

Okay now everyone from GoT will get nominated. Even Turner and Williams.

Here for a Turner nom, she was great in the later seasons. I can’t wait to see her arc in the final season.

Also seems like season 2 of Killing Eve can have a drop in quality and Oh would still easily win at this point. I wonder if Comer were to be nominated, if there were to be enough vote splitting where Oh wouldn’t prevail.

I could see Comer being pushed to supporting actress. If thats the case, she would have a good chance of winning

I hope not because that would be blatant fraud (going by season 1 screentime).

Comer should definitely consider switching to supporting actress. Emilia Clarke and possibly Mandy Moore may consider switching to supporting as well.

Don’t they even dare to fraud Comer! Especially now when there are so many empty slots in lead actress. She’s so getting in.
And what’s with you guys moaning about shows skipping eligibility? Do you really want to see all those quality shows lose to GoT? Even if they’re gonna end up better than GoT? Cause GoT is winning no matter what its quality is. At least better shows don’t have to lose to fanboy mediocrity.
