Why are leads being presented before supporting? Ugh.

Supporting after Lead? What a… choice.

Someone on Twitter made a good point that the comedy/drama/limited categories being so lumped together means that they don’t have to have the whole crew from every show on standby at all times. Makes sense because all that insane amount of cameras in different places with limited ways of directing them would make it incredibly hard to splice everything together. After the first hour or so they can have the comedy nominees turn off their cameras and be completely done, while the drama nominees can completely sit back and relax until their turn in the night.

Good point. Leads being presented before Supporting players still doesn’t make sense tho lmao.

Are the people scheduling the ceremony the same ones who know the winners? Because if so, we could see some huge surprises popping up in supporting…

From an excitement point of view I personally think the more interesting races are in the supporting categories this year so I’m not mad at the order, even if it’s not logical in that sense.

    For Your Consideration:

Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)

The way they saved Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for last so Sarah Snook could have her moment.

Kinda shows the order of prestige they find the genres to be, which are also not surprising:

    Drama Series>Limited Series>Comedy Series.

She is the true LEAD of that show. Move over Strong and Cox!

The producers don’t know until the moment it’s revealed.  Even during the Creative Arts where it was all pretaped they had the accounting firm revealing them live to the director/producer which is why they had the snafu last night when they hit the wrong button and had the mismatched voice over to title card.    Jimmy Kimmel said they asked if they could find out to make it easier on the tech support and were told absolutely not LOL.  poor guy doesn’t want another LaLa land.
