Agreed on all mentioned and will add: Caitlin McGee – Bluff City Law Ruth Wilson (Dark Materials) Regina King (Watchmen) And Hightown on Staz that seems very Emmy bait

Those are drama series, no? I’m talking about limited series. Also I’ve never heard of Bluff City Law or Caitlin McGee lol.

I thought they were limited lol. Turns out they are regular dramas lol. Jimmy Smitts law show coming up on NBC. She was on Grey’s Anatomy as Liz Brosniak and killed it and Vonnie on Mrs. Maisel. Great actress

It’s absurd how stacked that category is. I’m hesitant to predict that many nominees from one show because there are other potential contenders from other shows that will probably have more screen time and are just as likely at this point.

This could be true if two other contenders hadn’t aired this summer too.

For Drama SActress, I think HBC, Dern and Streep seem like locks. Dowd & Newton seem like safe bets. Last spot will be up in the air, if there’s 6 nominees ofc. I think MBB (or Lizzy Caplan) might sneak in. I don’t think Bledel or Strahovski will be strong enough to get nominated as well. But certainly there are other contenders we haven’t seen, especially the Ratched supporting actresses.

They could give that 6th spot to Shailene Woodley on Big Little Lies or Millie Bobby Brown on Stranger Things.

In a scenario where both Kravitz and Scott can get in, there’s no way Reese wouldn’t get in, especially considering you have Moss, Linney, Comer and Oh ahead of her.

Lead Actress is STACKED to the heavens. Take the seven I’ve got in there and add in:
    Claire Danes – Homeland
Viola Davis – How to Get Away With Murder
Mandy Moore – This Is Us
    MJ Rodriguez – Pose
Reese Witherspoon – Big Little Lies

Plus any Actress in a new series we’ve yet to see anything of, not limited to:
    Sarah Paulson – Ratched
Octavia Spencer – Truth Be Told

Big Little Lies fans will go for Kidman first and then Witherspoon second.

I’ve not seen Ozark so can’t comment on Linney, but Comer, Moss and Oh all deliver more than Witherspoon has this season for me.

How on earth after last week are we already saying ‘X isn’t making it in!?’

Many people were declared dead in the water…and made it in just last week.

What about the new HBO show ‘The Gilded Age’? I think it has a chance in some categories.

This won’t be ready for next Emmy season.

Does anyone think that Homeland could get a huge goodbye hug next year with series, Danes, and Patinkin? The chance of all three getting in is incredibly slim, but I randomly started entertaining the idea yesterday.
