You can now make 2020 Emmy Awards nominations predictions in 16 categories. More will be added later.

While anything can certainly change, the placements are correct as of today according to the networks and studios.

I really really hope that HBO moves at least one of the Westworld guys down from lead into supporting. Running three leads is INSANE, and they’re just going to shoot themselves in the foot and get zero in that category when they could probably get two if they only ran two.

Aaron Paul as Lead Actor for Westworld together with Wright and Harris? I didn’t expect this.

I think it’s just a placeholder and at least one will be moved down. Wright and Harris were nominated there last time so it makes sense that they’re still listed there, and Paul has been seen more in the advertisements than the two of them, so it makes sense he’s there right now. I disagree with the notion that they could get two men nominated in lead this time. It was a weaker field when that happened, right now I think they’ll have a harder time just getting one in.

EDIT: Also, I’m now seeing that Jeremy Irons is once again listed as a lead for Watchmen. I’m really hoping HBO doesn’t keep him there, as he’d easily make the lineup in supporting, while he could get snubbed in lead. I honestly have no idea why he was ever put there. His role doesn’t even border on leading. It’s about the same size as Jean Smart and Tim Blake Nelson’s roles and nobody’s been calling them leads.

Surprised to see only Rose Byrne and Margo Martindale for Mrs. America.

The hardest category right now is definitely the supporting limited races since most of these major contenders are yet to be seen.

I also have Mrs. America, I Know This Much Is True, and Unbelievable all missing series which feels wrong but there just isn’t any room.

I have a fairly strong gut feeling that Chris Rock is taking actor, though.

    That was very satisfying!

Emmys FYC - "Unbelievable" and "The Handmaid's Tale" in all categories; Viola Davis in Best Drama Actress for the final season of "HTGAWM;" "Ozark:" Drama Series, Laura Linney (Best Actress) and Julia Garner (Best Supporting Actress)

Very frustanting the fact that I am not allowed to put 14 predictions in one category.

A lot of unseen contenders there so it’s hard to get a true feel. Of the men who’ve been seen, Tom Blake Nelson certainly feels like a worthy winner, but if Irons is moved down to supporting, then the two of them are likely gonna split the vote.
