I don’t think Kidman and Blanchett will be eligible. Mrs. America is rumored to premiere early 2020, and Undoing just started filming last week. I don’t think they’ll rush it that much to get it out in the fall. HBO usually take their time with their shows.

True. Im just not sure who else im gonna put in that category yet. No matter what, I think Michelle Williams from fosse-vendon is gonna win.

Does anyone have any thoughts on HBO’s Euphoria? The concept isn’t that interesting: a “gritty teen drama”, but I could see the globes liking it. Stars Zendaya btw.

If the TV Drama Actress has 1 or 2 spots being up in the air, then I could see her getting nominated (and being her show’s only nom). However, I suspect Are You Sleeping?, The Crown, Big Little Lies and The Morning Show will leave no space for anyone else to get in this year.

I agree Williams will probably sweep though she probably won’t win the Emmy. Along with her, Mirren is definitely a lock as well. The rest 3 spots could be Joey King (The Act), probably Emma Thompson (Years & Years) and the last will probably go to a potential Emmy nominee from this year, maybe Ruth Wilson (Mrs. Wilson) or Julianna Margulies (The Hot Zone). It’s very early though, and there could easily be a show with a fall premiere that will pop up out of nowhere as it happens very often. Maybe Renee Zellweger with What/If.

So excited to see what Paltrow does in this. Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t this her first non-marvel role since 2011 when she had Contaigon, Country Strong & Glee

I have some changes to make to my predictions. I need to fix my limited series actress and my supporting actor categories as well.

Excuse my obliviousness, but why is Big Little Lies suddenly a drama and not a limited series?

Because of its second season renewal, it now will only be eligible for Drama Series (basically it’s not like True Detective which changes its lead and setting each season). Think of it like the situation with Downton Abbey (originally in limited series then upgraded to Drama Series)

FYC Emmys 2019 : Phoebe Waller–Bridge ("Fleabag") for Best Actress in a Comedy Series, Sandra Oh ("Killing Eve") for Best Actress in a Drama Series, Bradley Walsh ("Doctor Who") for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, Keeley Hawes ("Bodyguard") for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, "Maniac", "A Very English Scandal" and "Killing Eve" in all eligible categories.
