I tell you what (sounding like Hank Hill here!), it’ll be like eenie meenie miney mo if we’re predicting an actress from Talking Heads to make the cut.
Sarah Lancashire and Monica Dolan have an advantage given that their monologues are new compared to everyone else’s. However, the other actresses (including Imelda Staunton, Jodie Comer and Lesley Manville) have also received strong praise for their own take on the original works.

August 1, 2020 at 7:18 am #1203620338I made a StrawPoll of the miniseries contenders with the question “What Will Get Nominated at the BAFTAs in Miniseries in 2020” (when I mean in 2020 I mean contenders from 2020 considering like the Globes only shows from 2020 are eligible).
If I have missed any miniseries out do let me know (although this poll will only last for a week as obviously people may change their predictions and there may be changes in contenders). If anyone would like to do a StrawPoll for any other categories feel free to do so.
Please only select four shows and not vote for more than 4 or make more than one set of votes!
I will let you all know on here on Wednesday as to which contenders were in the top 4.

August 9, 2020 at 11:45 am #1203635780Is Keeley lead in Boys? I was under the impression it’s mainly about the kids, and she’s the main character’s mom. I don’t think she filmed very long either.
ReplyCopy URLAugust 9, 2020 at 11:55 am #1203635806I have her in Lead for now but I will say never to doubt her with her placement at the BAFTAs. After all she went Lead for Bodyguard.
If she goes Supporting I can easily see her doing what she did last year and get two noms again.
