These people clearly have no shame, so I will be embarrassed on their behalf. Stay strong, academy!

January 26, 2021 at 8:09 pm #1204004305Jesus, these people have an over-inflated sense of their own output quality lmfao
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 27, 2021 at 1:00 am #1204004541I knew this would be an issue, but I thought the girls would be afraid of “John Oliver,” not big bad “SNL.” The plot thickens lol!
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 19, 2021 at 3:55 pm #1204050853As Atypical pointed out it’s ironic that they were afraid of SNL beating them again when it still would have been John Oliver lol.

February 19, 2021 at 5:08 pm #1204050919SNL 40th anniversary couldn’t beat John Stewart, they really thought it was gonna best John Oliver, lol.

Exactly. Busy Tonight, Patriot Act, Desus & Mero, Amber Ruffin, Jordan Klepper (3/5 already cancelled too soon) are still without nominations and The Daily Show (Noah) is still Emmyless.
But sure, let’s throw some more nominations to the three Jimmy’s (Corden is an honorary Jimmy).
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 19, 2021 at 5:37 pm #1204050944why did they split the category in the first place?
were these people complaining about wanting to be in a tiny pool of applicants to get default noms?
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 20, 2021 at 12:00 am #1204051351I am disgusted. Yikes at how the academy opened their statement passive-aggressively.
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 20, 2021 at 12:15 am #1204051371I do think SNL would have won in a combined category at least once this century, back in 2017 when it took 4 acting wins and directing.
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 20, 2021 at 1:24 am #1204051404Speaking of rule changes, I’d prefer going back to six nominees per category. Eight is just overwhelming. Imagine just last year nominating Streep with seven other actresses.

I don’t get what you mean by this.
