Last night I watched The Pursuit of Love and it was amazing. Emily Beecham and Lily James were exceptional! I liked Emily Mortimer’s directing as well.

And who do we predict for this Sundays event? I’m rooting for Shaun Parkes to get the Bafta and Save Me Too over The Crown.

Considering how well it has performed critically on both sides of the Atlantic and the trend of Sky/HBO dramas landing a nomination in this category, I think Mare of Easttown is looking very good at an International series nomination next year.

FYC: All things The Crown, Hacks and I May Destroy You (and Hannah Waddingham and Julianne Nicholson whilst you're at it)!!

The way the scripted comedy and mini series categories were far less competitive last week than they are now lol. Anne BoleynFeel GoodThe Pursuit of LoveTime and We Are Lady Parts really were like BAM.

I will post updated predictions soon. With a lot of them I’m not basing them on having seen them (although I am with some like The Pursuit of Love or The Serpent or Motherland) but more on the buzz and passion each performer and each show seems to have developed. But with something like We Are Lady Parts (which I was already planning on watching because it looks GOOD), I have to watch the show because I feel like it will be quite ensemble based – like Derry Girls.

    like Derry Girls.

I just want this back. The girls are gonna be in their mid-thirties by the time Season Three hits the air.

Was Time any good/award-worthy? It really doesn’t look like my thing, so I’m going to take everyone else’s word on it.

    FYC: Cecily! MJ! Maya! Winslet!

I binge-watched Time today and thought it was excellent.

Sean Bean and Stephen Graham are both nodworthy but I enjoyed the former’s performance more (especially in the final episode).

    Updated predictions. Frontrunners in images.

Again only predicting what has aired at the moment or at least been seen by audiences. Predicting the BAFTAs for me is easier that way considering how chaotic British television scheduling tends to be lol.

The buzz for Time is INSANE.

I still think It’s a Sin is in the lead for mini series but I think we’ve found its first serious challenger.

Time is definitely worth the watch and would be a deserving nominee in that category. However, I still reckon It’s a Sin is the frontrunner to win.

Going to love seeing Motherland & It’s A Sin get some awards appreciation hopefully!

FYC EMMYS: THE CROWN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. OLIVIA COLMAN - D. ACTRESS & HBC - D. SUPP. ACTRESS) & IT’S A SIN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. LYDIA WEST - LIM. ACTRESS & KEELEY HAWES - LIM. SUPP. ACTRESS) & I MAY DESTROY YOU IN ALL CATEGORIES

2020: I May Destroy You + Michaela Coel
    2019: Chernobyl + Stephen Graham
2018: Patrick Melrose + Benedict Cumberbatch
2017: Three Girls + Molly Windsor

If It’s a Sin does end up winning series then one of Alexander and West will probably win if we’re looking at recent trends. Predicting three acting wins for this show is too much though so I will probably have to look at which of Howells and Hawes to move down.

We’ve obviously got the rest of the year still to come, but It’s a Sin feels so locked to go home with at least something. It feels like it’s still in the UK zeitgeist, and between a new Years and Years album, and Lydia West getting more and more roles, it will take a lot for me to predict anything else in Miniseries and Olly in Lead.

I just started Feel Good last night. Definitely one of those comedies where it feels like labelling a “comedy” is pushing it, but I like it a lot. How Lisa Kudrow steals every scene over webcam – an icon.

Three acting wins has been done before (Appropriate Adult), but that actually lost its Miniseries category.

I doubt three acting wins happens again any time soon, but interesting it didn’t completely sweep.

Killing Eve won 3 too, but Bodnia lost (so did Oh, but one of her/Comer had to lose in order for the other to win).

Three seems to be the most any show wins.
