I actually like the pilot. It wasn’t perfect or the best but it was still satisfying for me.

January 5, 2018 at 7:53 pm #1202457405It was nice. Nothing too awful. It had some terrible acting moments from Bassett and some of the other cast members, but as usual this is a Ryan Murphy show that casts so many great actors that you can’t wait to watch it again. Even with cheesy lines, Grey’s Anatomy style situations and bad acting, this is still a show with Britton, Bassett, Krause, Hinds and Choi. All terrific actors who I don’t mind watching week after week….or as long as it lasts.
But Murphy needs to step it up. It needs better writing. There’s a good show here somewhere. I’m interested how and when does Britton get scenes with the rest of the cast.

I guess the only thing I can compare this to is Chicago PD because I had the same reaction to that and look how long its still on. My grade: B

This kind of reminds me of Chicago Fire, where you get personal storylines, as well as action scenes. While these action scenes are more interesting, I like Chicago Fire as a whole more than I do this. I feel Bassett was wasted here. Hopefully it improves.

I thought Pilot was awful but it grew on me with next episodes.
It’f fun to watch with some good performances.
I especially like Aisha Hinds, Oliver Stark and the Always reliable Peter Krause.July 4, 2018 at 11:41 am #1202579296I gave a second opportunity to this show.
It’s very ‘bingeable’ and fun, but I can see how this show has rushed to be produced. I mean Ryan Murphy admitted it “Murphy said the show wasn’t originally supposed to premiere until September 2018, but Walden (Fox Entertainment Group chairman) fast tracked it to premiere this winter.”
I think the stories need to mature, to get more focus on the main and supporting characters and not so much in the weekly cases.
To really get deep. I think Murphy (who I think is brilliant) needs to get some inspiration on Grey’s – I know everyone thinks that the show should have been canceled year ago, but they always deliver very consistent characters and storylines, that grab your attention and gives you all kinds of emotions. And I think that’s what this show is lacking – a little more of emotion, a better script (I mean ‘Pose’ is so well written and has such a compelling script, a little more of ‘Pose’ on 9-1-1, please :))ReplyCopy URLFYC TV: Stateless | We Are Who We Are | Cate Blanchett in Stateless | Paapa Essiedu in I May Destroy You

July 5, 2018 at 10:48 am #1202579723Note that the season premiere will air on Sunday night 9/23 at 8 Eastern (or later, if Fox’s NFL coverage runs long that night) before moving to its normal Monday at 9 timeslot the following night. It is also expected to be the only non-repeat that night, as the normal Sunday night schedule shows have their season premieres on 9/30.
