The Dancing Baby’s about to have a rebirth.

An Ally McBeal limited series revival is in the early stages of development, with titular leading lady Calista Flockhart being eyed to reprise her iconic role. The series’ creator, David E. Kelley, would be involved in the potential sequel series an an exec producer, but a female auteur would likely take the showrunner reins, as Kelly himself previously hinted.

Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!

THIS IS SO AMAZING! Incredibly excited for it. Ally McBeal was iconic!

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

I’m not completely sold on this idea just yet. Ally McBeal seemed to deal very specifically with the morals of Generation-X characters and seems to be pretty specific to the time period in which it aired.

I’m not sold on the idea of an almost 60 year old Ally McBeal. If she was still acting the same way she was in her 20’s it would be desperately sad. I’m not sure.

I think this Limited Series Revival is a great idea!

Yes, Ally McBeal was of it’s time, but there’s no reason why it wouldn’t work today with the characters changing with the times and mixing in some new younger cast members to interact with the original cast.

Who wouldn’t want to see the likes of Calista Flockhart, Lucy Liu, Jane Krakowski, Portia de Rossi, Greg Germman and Peter MacNicol reunited in a new series! Plus new tunes by Vonda Shepard.

Bonus points if they can get Robert Downey, Jr to reprise his role and have cameos by the likes of Regina Hall, Tracey Ullman, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Julianne Nicholson, James Marsden and Hayden Panettiere!
