With two miniseries with American Crime in the title currently on TV, I’ve been wondering which show people like better. Personally I can’t get enough of American Crime (AC), but there seems to be more buzz for American Crime Story (ACS).
What does everyone else think?

I wasn’t crazy about the first season of American Crime; it was good, but nothing compared to this year.
American Crime Story is all about pop culture, just as O.J. was when the case went down.
ACS has been regarded as an acting showcase, but I think AC has arguably better acting in its second season than ACS. Lili Taylor, Regina King, Connor Jessup, and Joey Pollari are all killing it nearly EVERY episode. Sarah Paulson and Courtney B. Vance have been standouts so far, but the rest of the ensemble haven’t had their “shining” moments yet.
I do enjoy ACS very much too, moreso than most other shows from this TV season, but there is no topping Season 2 of American Crime.

As a fan of AHS and its hammy acting, I do love this new incarnation, but I can’t buy Cuba as OJ and the script falls flat at points.

Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)February 23, 2016 at 7:26 pm #367842And ACS is not an acting showcase(I guess that’s the argument that people use when they understand that something isn’t deserving with any of its other aspects?) nor that its actors are better but you can bet on your life that it’ll get more acting nominations than AC. And that’s simply because acting branch in the Academy have always been pussies that don’t want to challenge themselves and go for vanilla melodramatic soaps over daring, brave, raw shows. Always have been, and always will. It’s true at the Oscars, too.

I should have been more specific in the topic name, as I am only comparing AC Season 2 with ACS. I’ve changed the title and option name to reflect that.
It’s funny that everyone is saying AC by a mile, yet there seems to be much more hype and conversation on ACS here on Gold Derby. Even with awards buzz, ACS seems to be getting more support.
