Super excited! I’ve read two Andrew Cunanan books and he represents so many gays from this time that I knew in the 90’s – people obsessed with money and creating an image to cover up self hatred. The struggles of being gay of creating an identity as a gay man during that time was extremely difficult as AIDS loomed over the community.
I’m curious how they are going to cover it because Andrew was a fascinating serial killer but his reasoning for killing all of his victims especially Versace was more of a mystery. Connecting the two stories outside of the murder will be super challenging. It’s not like OJ, where they can just tell the story as it was and it’s instantaneously facsinating – they will have to really be creative and deep to make this work. Also, I don’t know if Darren Criss is that good of an actor to really expose this character’s inner struggles.September 6, 2017 at 11:10 am #1202205375
Can’t wait for the official trailer. The story has potential to make a great season.September 6, 2017 at 12:49 pm #1202205415
The teaser was fine but very Murphy-esqueSeptember 6, 2017 at 1:36 pm #1202205458

That’s what makes a teaser now? Whatever. Nice title design, I guess. That’s the only thing one can say here.September 22, 2017 at 6:20 am #1202220921

Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski being gone worries me, but I still hope its goodSeptember 22, 2017 at 3:59 pm #1202221354
Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski are no longer involved, so I’m expecting this season to be a disappointing mess. I’ll probably only try watching it if it gets good reviews. The People v. O.J. worked because Ryan Murphy was working with writers who knew how to write compelling characters and work complex themes into their show. I don’t think Murphy can do that, or at least not anymore. Feud: Bette and Joan was fine, but it wasn’t especially Emmy worthy (outside of the great Makeup and Hairstyling, which it deservedly won) in my opinion.
For your Goldderby Film Awards consideration: Isle of Dogs for every category, especially Music Score for Alexandre Desplat!September 24, 2017 at 7:24 pm #1202222636

The press releases list Darren Criss first among the cast.
