That’s a big one with the first victims. Also, where’s Trevor? That’s all you get Matthew Morrison to do? The lunch lady? The cop that Montana just offed? We should see them all again for continuity’s sake, but I doubt it will happen.
I think we will. good ghosts vs murderous ones the final face offOctober 22, 2019 at 12:03 pm #1203147831
Wonder Woman didn’t invent 1984 lol.
no but iT is an odd choice if they wouldn’t include anything of that year. Wonder woman on the other hand is including the aids protests in their movie. They could have picked Any year then but if they chose this year and then do nothing with iT would just be a weird choice. Don’t understand that people here are Raving about this season. They spent 5 episodes on people running around, being trapped or killed. IT could have been done in 2-3 episodes. They better do something amazing in the next episodes cause this is just lazy.October 22, 2019 at 1:27 pm #1203147952

key word- Lazy. 84 is an iconic year for a variety of reasons probably the largest and most obvious among them the Orwell of it all so I’m assuming Murphy went with this title because he liked the way it sounded, but the show lacks any commentary or thematic importance significant to the year 1984.October 23, 2019 at 2:05 am #1203148561
Episode Title: “Episode 100”
Synopsis: With the horrors of the night behind them, the survivors deal with the fallout of their choices.

I really didn’t like this episode as much outside of the camp stuff. Murderous ghosts I am cool with…can care less what the others were up to befoore they went back lol. My grade: B+October 24, 2019 at 7:28 am #1203150469
I’m not watching this season cuz it looks atrocious, but I am surprised Murphy didn’t try to make the 100th ep something special with former cast members returning perhaps?October 24, 2019 at 1:58 pm #1203151117
I haven’t seen the last two episodes yet, but I really, really dislike this season. It’s probably my least favorite overall, and the praise it’s getting sort of baffles me. AHS has mostly been pretty great at building a believable world, but this one just feels so incredibly empty, lifeless and boring. I don’t care about a single one of these characters; they are so ridiculous, cheesy or just downright uninteresting that I can’t take a single one of them seriously. The cast is fine, but there’s no one who’s really bringing their A game IMO (ok, maybe Angelica Ross). I know this forum seems to be going wild for Grossman, but I couldn’t care less about her character or her performance. Sorry but not sorry. I LOVE this show, but I need that old cast back and a more exciting setting.
Also, after such impeccable cinematography last year, it’s pretty weak this year. I feel like I’ve seen the same 2 colors in every single episode thus far.
Oscar FYC - Lupita Nyong'o & Elisabeth Moss ("Us") - Best Actress & Supporting Actress. It must happen; otherwise the Tethered are coming.October 24, 2019 at 2:08 pm #1203151131
This cast is just such a gigantic downgrade. Not to be mean to this cast but when you look at what iT once was= A cast that included multiple oscar winners. If they did this season iT would already be better. they just haven’t found Any one to replace. You all are going crazy about Cody and leslie but they never disappeared into the character this Season.October 24, 2019 at 3:50 pm #1203151329
I’m really enjoying this season but it’s the first one where I’d say none of it is awards worthy, mostly because it lacks any signature performance. Even duds like Hotel and Cult had the likes of Paulson and Peters turning in excellent work. However, it is also probably the most consistent season thus far, which for Murphy is one heck of an achievement.October 24, 2019 at 3:52 pm #1203151331
cinematography is cheap
I’m almost 100% certain this is on purpose. It’s supposed to look like a cheap 80s slasher film.October 24, 2019 at 4:22 pm #1203151373
It is quite clearly a deliberate choiceOctober 24, 2019 at 6:00 pm #1203151515
This season is indeed quite forgettable and it’s true the characters can be seen as lifeless but I appreciate it because I think it’s probably the most well constructed and planned season since Asylum. We can tell the writers know where they are going and that they are not writing random scenes and changing their plans depending on the cast like in Freak Show and Hotel. I honestly very much prefer this season over one that takes itself way too seriously like Cult (which I thought was atrocious), or FS and Hotel that I have already mentionned before. Those 3 really were the all time low for AHS to me.
As for the acting, Leslie Grossman is full camp. She overacts a little but she is mostly fun to watch. I assume Sarah Paulson would have played this character had she been on the season, and she would have played it totally differently, more melodramatic I think. Emma Roberts is nice and does a decent job. It’s refreshing to see her doing something else than the total bitch. Angelica Ross is pretty great aswell and I really wish she returns next year. I didn’t care about Cody Fern last year and I still don’t this year. At least he doesn’t try too much this time.
And regarding the cinematography, the horrible yellow filter from Roanoke, Cult and Apocalypse is finally gone so I can only appreciate it.October 25, 2019 at 12:13 am #1203151859
When I watched the first couple of episodes I still had hopes that the story can turn into a more deep and a meaningful one but now that only three episodes are left I have no hopes for this show. There is nothing special about this season. I feel like this results from Ryan Murphy. He no longer sees the show to demonstrate artistry, instead a way to be ridicilous and silly. That is why we never got a season like Asylum and probably never will. I’m assuming he is using his awards chances on his Netflix shows.October 25, 2019 at 8:00 am #1203152194
Mostly liked it. The time jumps had purpose, and didn’t feel like haphazard events were happening in the writing just because. Events had more purpose than usual. Sad to see none of the repertory players back, but if they did come back and were their recurring characters, then this all would have gone drama again where it would get zero Emmy nods. At least there is still a prayer in limited. They tried to address some of the continuity issues, which was good. We saw the 70s victims as ghosts for the first time. Montana and Xavier killing everyone at camp is meh, but poor Chad having to clean all the bodies up after them is bullshit. #ThatsRacist. Trevor’s alive, and that’s so eye-rolling, but you don’t get Matthew Morrison for a cameo-level role. Brooke and Rita together should be fun lol. Too bad the Night Stalker was given so much screentime when Zach Villa is such a boring actor. John Carroll Lynch though … again, the only acting standout of the season who would make a fine supporting actor Emmy nominee. I really wanted him to work at that Alaska Blockbuster lmao! Leslie Grossman was giving me Ivana Trump/Tammy Faye Bakker realness tonight, and I lived, bitches! It’s hard not to think what Sarah Paulson would have done with Margaret, b/c she wouldn’t have opted for all this camp. I would have expected something more … sinister? Props to Grossman for her great comedic chops, but I need more. Kinda excited for the home stretch!
