As of this writing, 12 cast members have been announced for this apocalyptic season: Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Kathy Bates as the three leads, and Joan Collins, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Emma Roberts, Adina Porter, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman and Kyle Allen as recurring and/or guest stars. Of note, Paulson and Peters are the only cast members to appear in all eight seasons of the show.

I’m fucking pumped, Sept can’t come fast enough, and Lange has to come back, there’s no way you can do a crossover with those 2 seasons, have this season titled apocalypse referencing the demon child in season 1 that Lange’s character was going to raise and not have her come backJuly 23, 2018 at 9:58 am #1202592074
Lily Rabe and Jessica Lange must be back as series regulars.July 23, 2018 at 10:11 am #1202592083
Jessica needs to appear on the first episode at least.I think she owes this to Ryan Murphy. Evan Peters can kill her and then she doesn´t need to be a part of AHS again if she doesn´t want to.July 23, 2018 at 10:30 am #1202592108
I am so excited!!! I do hope that at least Jessica Lange returns. I miss her so much!

I’m so excited !!!! The cast looks just AWESOME this year… Sarah, Evan, Kathy and Emma are all back…and can we just take a minute for the legendary Joan Collins? Still can’t seem to believe it. Both the title and the poster were nuts … I NEED a teaser trailer right about NOW!July 24, 2018 at 9:27 pm #1202593208
JESSICA LANGE !! feud is not happening get ur ass back in this seasonJuly 24, 2018 at 11:19 pm #1202593259
I’m not a fan of the crossover. Part of the initial appeal of the franchise was that Ryan Murphy wouldn’t have to adhere to serialization or continuity. He could go nuts for a season, wring out every idea he could muster, and then start over with new characters after 13 episodes. It bottled the best of his work while keeping him away from stuff that tripped him up, so the idea of connecting seasons is a big no from me.
Especially since Coven began the downfall of the show (IMO).July 25, 2018 at 6:07 pm #1202593728
I don’t think people understand what a crossover is and JL is not coming back – that ship has sailed.July 25, 2018 at 7:56 pm #1202593790
I wonder if this the last season. I feel like if it were they would be marketing it as such, but the concept of a crossover does seem like a way to go out, and also an 8 episode final season makes sense. It’s not hard to tell Murphy’s priorities have been elsewhere for years, and since he’s now with Netflix he might be trying to phase out of FX as much as he can (I know they still have Pose but that could really be it seeing as his other anthologies might not have another season).
