The 100 .”Headey should win for all 8 seasons” voters who also screamed down Jones winning for THT despite Headey having incredibly minimal screentime this year?

I don’t agree with this sentiment that screentime is in anyway indicative of the strength of a performance. Beatrice Straight in Network, Viola Davis in Doubt, and I’d even include Regina King in IBSCT, had amazing performances with minimal screentime. Headey had less screentime but still a very worthy performance, which is not the case with Jones. Just look at Peter MacNicol from Veep. He had the same amount of screentime as Jones (maybe even less), yet had an amazing performance and should have won IMO. Most people would agree that his performance was deserving of recognition.

Headey didn’t have two minutes of screen-time in her submission and actually gave a great performance in her’s lol. The same cannot be said for Jones.

“I like to vote for people who might die tomorrow.” This is fake, right? These justifications for votes are ridiculously awful and can’t be real. This person is an actor and a foresnic psychologist? What? Ugh.

I get your sentiment but no. Being an Emmy voter isn’t a ‘job’. Yes they have a responsibility but they are very justified to prioritize their actual career and job over a (prestigious) side responsibility. Your O’Brien example is commendable but if he works for GoldDerby then his actual paying job is to stay in the know and watch those so big difference.
This is the inherent problem with Industry Awards : they are prestigious because they come from Working Peers, but because they come from Working professionals they cannot all adequately judge all the possible content. 🤷🏻‍♀️
It’s easy for us who don’t have that much of a life to hate on voters but they got there by working hard and thus are so justified provoking work over watching.

Aww this actor voted for Turman, Tyson, Arquette (Dannemora) and Porter. But then also voted for Shaw… because he/she’s always found GOT overrated.

So much taste in the Comedy categories omg I have to stan

Even though the justifications are terrible, this voter likely does represent a significant portion of the voting block that will vote on industry likability/visibility as opposed to performance or narrative. This is why Clarkson is likely winning as opposed to Arquette.

Also to favor a show over other contenders because of affection to a person that used to write there but not anymore is… absurd

I mean that whole part about frat boys felt more like personal criticism of David Benioff. Because I don’t get what the point was.

Succession is the bomb, though. To win writing over GOT might give it some proper attention. It’s still criminally underrated I’m my opinion

I can already see headlines – “Watch the show that won over Game of Thrones!”

    Now is the producer:

Out of the three I think his reasoning I liked the most. Even tho we agree about some things (The Good Place), and disagre about others (Chernobyl).

Other than that, Succession hype is real. How it will manifest during 2020 nominations? Time will tell, but things are definitely looking good for them.

Third ballot, and so far zero votes for GOT.
Don’t worry, it will win, I’m just messing with you.

Some of these comments are despicable, but I am eating up all this shade with a spoon. Omg. Whether I agree with it or not:

” The thing about Chernobyl was all of the accents, which kind of drove me crazy.”

“Killing Eve and Barry are kind of interesting because they’re both about assassins, both in Season 2. Barry did everything right, and Killing Eve kind of did everything wrong.”

“Ozark isn’t a show I love. First of all, I feel like it needs an editor.”

Oscar FYC - Lupita Nyong'o & Elisabeth Moss ("Us") - Best Actress & Supporting Actress. It must happen; otherwise the Tethered are coming.

“Barry did everything right, and Killing Eve kind of did everything wrong.

I did not watch Pose when it aired originally, but I watched it in June along with Bodyguard and Succession because I thought they would be nominated. I loved it. I wish a few of the actors had gotten in. Succession I also loved. It held my single favorite episode of the year in television. The family is just messy and entertaining, and I’m enjoying the second season just as much right now. This is the show I voted for. Game Of Thrones doesn’t need the extra vote.

This Is Us I hate, and we can just forget that one.”

    I stan.
