Not defending it, but to be fair, she didn’t say “black men”, she said “those black men”, but just “those men” would have been a lot better.

No, she said “all those things black men do,” an inherently racist statement. Don’t defend it.

It’s settled then. Atlanta is winning seeing that it is appealing enough to old racist white men and women. WHEW. #Blackwins #BlackDontCrack

I haven’t even SEEN Atlanta S2 yet because the 1st season was such an uneven ride. Only the first couple and B.A.N. really stood out to me, with the latter being completely deserving of its Emmy Directing win. With that said, I cannot wait to get around to binging it on Hulu now (because binging is just how I like to roll with most TV) once the whole season has aired. Good for Donald Glover for making greatness from the obvious potential the 1st season showed glimpses of. I’m also not on board for Mrs. Maisel or GLOW winning. I decided not to continue the former after the Pilot because I felt bored by the characters and story. Also, the episodes didn’t need to be hour-long. The latter I watched up until the last episode. It has been months since I stopped right before watching the finale. It wasn’t my intention to have that be the end point. I just took a break after GLOW episode 9 and didn’t feel like continuing. Curb Your Enthusiasm got critical acclaim but Larry David’s material doesn’t do it for me anymore now that he’s just playing himself and doesn’t have those cool Seinfeld characters to mess around with. Just not a fan of CYE, that’s all.

If Sasha of all people (who loved Moonlight, for whatever that’s worth) thought Atlanta Season 2 was amazing, then who knows how even the most genuinely bigoted Emmy voters will react to it!

Also, is it literally just me or does Mrs. Maisel feel like it came and completely went in regards to cultural buzz? It pretty much swept everywhere it needed to, but I don’t see anyone really talking about it anymore, its like it left no lasting impact. I see more people talking about The Good Place than Maisel, and I have that show getting shut out at the Emmys, save for a possible Writing nod because that branch usually does their homework more than other major branches seem to. Atlanta could totally win as an I.O.U. for last year since it clearly was loved enough to come in 2nd for Comedy Series. Don’t act like it didn’t, not when Donald Glover was popular enough to even upset Tambor for Comedy Actor when both Bryan Tyree Henry and Zazie Beetz got snubbed by the branch. If either or both of them get in this year, then we’ve truly and officially got ourselves a race for Comedy Series to be excited about!

If I went after all the stereotypes don’t you think I’d also mention black men being homophobic and fathering as many children as possible with as many women as possible and then abandoning them? I have only mentioned the things guys on the show do. Did it come the wrong way? Maybe. I don’t know and honestly I don’t care. Stop being such bunch of fucking snowlakes. Man up for fuck’s sake. What’s going on with men these days? They’re like bunch of fucking pussies. I’m done here.

As for the show I have finished all the episodes that have already aired and give the show B+. Probably ends up A-. And Zazie Beets is a star in the making. Cannot fucking wait to see her in Deadpool 2. Btw that episode with Donald Glover in whiteface was so fucking weird. Still kinda processing it.

This is what happens when you all vote for the Goldderby award for bitchiest poster — they try to top themselves by making racist remarks in an effort to be funny, then they backtrack and make it out to be your fault for being too sensitive.

    “Helen” > “Champagne Papi”

I am relatively eager to see new episodes because there is never much telling what is in store.

Why does anyone bother with that troll? That poster LIVES for this kind of sh*t, and loves to feel that others are so pressed by it all.

    Sportin’ Waves: A+
    Money Bag Shawty: B
    Helen: B
    Barbershop: B+
    Teddy Perkins: A+

So far I like it better than last season.

Omg. Henry is a lock at tgis point after that episode. Wow what an episode and Emmy-worthy turn Henry. I even think “Woods” is competitive enough for the win. Murai is really cementing himself as one of the best of his generation and I definitely can’t wait for his feature directorial debut. I am in Awe! I don’t think there should be any doubt that Atlanta is the sole frontrunner to win Comedy Series. And can i just say these unknown actors who have significant roles in these standalone episodes have been absolutely killing it! I want this show to never end. Whew

I think Atlanta will show its strength as a frontrunner if it could get nominations for some of its no name guest actors.

Curious, would you root for it to win Comedy Series over Curb Your Enthusiasm by this point in the season?

Yes. I mean, Atlanta S2 is simply better than CYU S9. I would be equally happy for the latter though, since it has never won Series if I’m not mistaken and it absolutely should have.
Atlanta (masterpiece, if final episodes keep up the current quality)>The Good Place (great)>Curb Your Enthusiasm (very good). Just don’t give the Emmy to The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
