In all seriousness (once we get passed the fact that this is an anthology series and we won’t be following Marcia Clarke’s personal life after the case in an OJ part 2 season), I really have doubts that ACS will be as good as it was in season 1. The New Orleans narrative will be very hard to pull off and I’m not sure Murphy is the guy to do it. In terms of awards, missing a year could also mean that it’s forgotten about if it suffers a slump.

American Crime Story can easily go to shit, especially with the writers not returning for the second season. I can scarcely think of a worse pitch than “Treme, Ryan Murphy-style”. And Lady Gaga has apparently been cast as Donatella Versace for the third season, which they are block-shooting in early 2017 with the second season.

I just researched the 3rd season. Are you actually kidding me. The murder of Versace? Out of every topic they could’ve selected. Sorry if I’m being insensitive, but I can almost guarantee this show has already peaked- I had no idea that the writers weren’t returning. The parallel filming is a terrible idea as well.
