TV most underrated performances are back tonight on A&E Network.
Last year Vera Farmiga had a stellar season with an Emmy whorthy turn in “Norma Louise”. Let’s see if she can top herself.
A Danger To Himself and Others
Synopsis: “Norma searches for Norman, who finds himself in unfamilar surroundings; Dylan waits for news about Emma; Romero gets a surprising proposition”.March 7, 2016 at 9:18 am #368220
I’m still astounded that Vera wasn’t nominated last year! Can’t wait for this season.March 8, 2016 at 1:04 am #368221
Good Episode tonight. Totally focussed on Norman and Norma. I like that. Sometimes they get bogged down with subplots.March 8, 2016 at 5:03 am #368222
This was a great episode, well written and focused on Norma’s struggles with Norman. Norman is completely crazy. He is psycho in this season. And both Vera and Freddy are outstanding.March 8, 2016 at 7:41 am #368223
Freddie was great in this episode!March 14, 2016 at 9:46 pm #368224
“Goodnight, Mother”- A+
Bates Motel just aired its best episode so far. The writing was excellent. The performances of Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore were outstanding. I hope they keep doing more like this one. Brilliant!March 29, 2016 at 5:35 pm #602307
4×01 – B+
4×02 – A+ (best episode of the series)
4×03 – B
I am loving this season, much better than the beggining of season 2 and 3.March 30, 2016 at 5:06 am #602387
I’ve seen the first two episodes so far, and this season is inTENSE. This material could so easily devolve into campy melodrama, but Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin are surehanded in guiding the story arc, and Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore are just beyond outstanding. It still seems like Dylan is in a completely different show, but Max Thieriot is quite good so I keep hoping he will get folded back into the main arc.April 2, 2016 at 6:27 pm #661706
Freddie Highmore is doing fantastic work this season. His performance in this week’s episode was really great. I still find this show really entertaining and captivating.April 3, 2016 at 5:42 pm #661850
It feels like this is the season where Norma bites the dust along with the sherif and Dylan is not in a better path either.April 5, 2016 at 11:49 am #662191
I think Tom mentioned at one point that A&E had this show locked down for 5 seasons originally so maybe we will be seeing the end of the road for some of these main characters soon. I just hope the Series Finale is the movie Psycho in Norman’s perspectiveApril 19, 2016 at 6:16 am #1201818380
Season 4 Episode 6 “The Vault”- B+
Great performance from Vera Farmiga in episode 6 “The Vault”. Emmy voters please watch!April 19, 2016 at 9:57 am #1201818438
Like last year with “Norma Louise”, episode six is Emmy whorthy for Farmiga.
Please voters, remember this fantastic performance!April 19, 2016 at 3:17 pm #1201818842
The acting in this show is too good to have only recieved one nomination for Farmiga. Both Farmiga and Highmore would be threats to win if they got nomiated and tapes still mattered and Nestor Carbonell gives such a fantastic performance bringing a sense of calm to Norma’s usually hectic life. But no, emmy voters have to nominate Claire Danes again and again while they ignore Farmiga who gives arguably the best performance on television.
