If voters actually watched all shows/performances, Freddie Highmore would certainly get in this season.
I’ve always been gung-ho about Vera Farmiga’s performance and still believe she deserves a nomination, but Highmore has stepped up his game this year with the storyline slowly delving into him transforming more and more.

I read on the producer’s twitter chat that they will have a Marion Crane character at some point towards the end.

I’m guessing she will still be back in virtually every episode in Norman’s mind as he visions himself as her.
Just sad to see one of the greatest acting performances on TV right now go away.
Curious to see where this leaves Romero because in the original film, it is revealed that his mother and lover (I’m guessing Romero!?) die in a murder/suicide situation. Where does this leave Dylan?
Still so many questions left to answer with a season and an episode to go! Looking forward to seeing Marion Crane next season too!

Goodbye Norma, you were the true villian of this story.

May 10, 2016 at 7:57 pm #1201826883If these last few episodes are any indication, the season finale could be the best episode of the series. Farmiga needs to be nominated again, and win for her layered and emotionally charged performance this season which is leagues above the rest. RIP Norma Bates

But wait, in this world let’s expect more nominations for Downton Abbey and Homeland.
ReplyCopy URLMay 21, 2016 at 9:00 pm #1201839664Just finished the last two episodes and they were some seriously messed-up shit, y’all. The creative team went for broke this season and nailed it. The work that Farmiga and Highmore did just has no equal this year and you could basically draw an episode out of a hat for either of them and come up with an Emmy-worthy submission.
I loved how the last couple of episodes tied storylines that seemed to be extraneous together–the DEA taking Romero away and Dylan’s move to Portland turned out to be critical set-up for the final run of episodes.
The final image of the Christmas lights coming on will stay with me for a while. I really look forward to season 5, but I’m glad we get a little break to recover from season 4. I know it won’t happen, but I would completely support a Drama Series nomination.

WHY?,WHY? WHY?,WHY?, WHY?,WHY?
Those the producers of Bates Motel didn’t see Battleship?…Rihanna can’t act. Now i hope the shower scene is in episode one.

Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga were much much better of most of the actors nominated this year at Emmys, SAG, Globes and Critic Choice awards.

At least Farmiga was nominated for this show! So many other amazing performances and shows that have been totally ignored. I doubt it will get back in to any major categories for its final season.

Farmiga is great, but Highmore’s performance is absolutely atrocious.

Farmiga and especially Highmore had fantastic seasons. I’m genuinely excited about the final season!
