The show is back tonight for its final season.
In seasons 3 and especially 4 the show delivered stunning episodes and it should have been nominated everywhere for series, directing, writing and acting.
Freddie Higmore and Vera Farmiga in particular were easily better than any recent winners at Emmys, Globes, SAG, Critic Choice and TCA, but the show is So OFF THE RADAR.
But who cares..let’s enjoy this final ride.
Episode 5.1 DARK PARADISE
“Norman tries to keep up appearances despite a troubling discovery; Dylan and Emma receive a surprise guest”.February 21, 2017 at 7:06 am #1202017454
I’m not caught up, but I know the spoiler. Is there anyway that Farminga can submit in supporting? I will be caught up by the next episode.February 21, 2017 at 5:23 pm #1202018017
I can’t fathom Farmiga will garner a Supporting push. Anyway, the premiere was pretty damn fantastic. It can’t be understated just how pitch-perfect Highmore is on this show.

Great premiere! Glad to see Farminga submit in supporting so that she has a chance! Great acting over all! My grade: A-March 1, 2017 at 5:19 am #1202026814
Caught up with “The Convergence of the Twain” last night. Continues the great start from the season premiere, and the last four minutes…whoa! The Sam Loomis reveal was very well done. The show continues to do a great job using the mythology of the movie but putting its own spin on things to stay surprising. Loving the wild outfits that Norman keeps seeing Norma in during his hallucinations (that hat!). Highmore and Farmiga continue to be tops.March 7, 2017 at 12:44 pm #1202031426
I didn’t really like this episode. It was crazy though. I did like the dinner scene though. That was creepy.

Yeah, I didn’t really understand Chick’s motivation in this one. But it looks like he’s sucked further into the whole mess now, given the final scene.
“Try losing the kimono”, though… lol.March 8, 2017 at 7:23 am #1202031976
I don’t like the Chick actor or character.March 8, 2017 at 1:59 pm #1202032264
^agreed completely. Way, way too much Chick. And I’m missing live Norma!
OSCAR FLASHBACK: 20 Years of Streep (1978 – The Deer Hunter)
Who doesn’t! The moment they killed her off I knew they have made a huge mistake. They shouldn’to have followed the movie, they should have made the series its own. Or at least killed her off in series finale if they really had to. Mother is fun but it’s not the same. Norma was much more interesting character. Especially to play.March 8, 2017 at 7:00 pm #1202032454
