Ruby Rose, the lead actress of the CW freshman series ‘Batwoman’, quit the show in just the past hour.

The role will be recast. They’ve got plenty of time; season 2 won’t drop until January 2021. If then.

This is a shocker. The leading actor of a TV show leaving is a huge deal especially for a show called Batwoman in which Batwoman herself is leaving. The role will be recast and it’s gonna affect how they do season 2 and they have to figure out dealing with the continuity or whatsoever. There’s no clear info yet about why she left, but I think we will get some follow-up reports on that in coming days once the reporters start to dig more information.

She suffers from depression and suicidal thoughts so I can’t imagine her having an on-set stint injury that required spinal surgery and the constant barrage online troll hate would’ve been good for her mental and physical health.

Leaving the show seems to be what’s best for her as a person.

Oh, I see. If that is the case, maybe leaving might be the best decision for her and I wish her all the best on her future endeavors. One thing that also struck me is that the producers allowed her to leave. Maybe there’s a clause or something in her contract that allows it happen. I’m glad that they respected her decision.
