Aside from a few 2-season anthologies, these are the 10 finished shows that got nominated for every season they aired.

What’s the best? I mean, I assume it’ll be a battle between the T2, but still.

I think your poll actually has them in the right order.

The Sopranos should have won at least five times.

I finally saw The West Wing this summer on Netlfix and I feel it deserved all four of its wins although The Sopranos was an incredible show in its six seasons I think maybe had to stomach the violence before it could win.

Although I was never a big fan of TWW I didn’t hate any of its series wins besides its fourth. Is it on the level of The Sopranos? Nu-ah. But it was a quality, Emmy friendly show, and its domination was less annoying than say, Modern Family’s. Also, voters moved on sooner.

I found the third season of ‘The West Wing’ a LOT weaker than the fourth season.

The second is near-perfect (in my eyes), and the first is amazing as well. I would say: 2 > 1 > 4 > 3. I am not that familiar with its competition in those years.

I meant season three not four, which was not only a weaker season than the fourth but was going against seasons 1 and 2 of SFU and the first season of 24. However, the only time I would have given TWW a win was for its second season. It was the peak of the series and was slightly better than season three of The Sopranos, which was overall good but ended with a middling finale after building so much momentum throughout the season.

    Between Sopranos and Mad Men

Give Paul Thomas Anderson an Oscar.
